A paper sheet handling apparatus includes: a first stopper that is in contact with a first partition at a lower limit position of the first partition; and a pressing portion that is fixed to a second partition and raises and lowers the first partition integrally with the second partition using a frictional force generated by pressing a guide. The second partition descends integrally with the first partition, and after the first partition comes into contact with the first stopper, the second partition descends independently of the first partition against the frictional force to a position where the pressing portion faces the recessed portion that cancels the frictional force. The second partition, when ascending from the position where the pressing portion faces the recessed portion to a position where the pressing portion no longer faces the recessed portion, ascends integrally with the first partition due to the frictional force.

Paper sheet handling apparatus

A paper sheet handling apparatus includes a movable unit that changes a size of a taking-out space by moving in a direction of approaching a paper sheet discharged to the taking-out space and a direction of retreating the paper sheet, in which the movable unit includes a movable unit main body and a pressing unit movable to a storage position where the pressing unit is moved along the movable unit main body and a pressing position where the pressing unit presses the paper sheet.

A paper sheet storage device includes a storage space in which paper sheet is stored; a mounting table that is provided in the storage space and on which the paper sheet is accumulated and placed; a support base that supports the mounting table; a first lifting lowering mechanism that lifts and lowers the mounting table between a high position and a low position relative to the support base; and a second lifting lowering mechanism that lifts and lowers the support base in the storage space. The support base and the first lifting lowering mechanism are disposed within a projection area in which the mounting table is projected on a plane orthogonal to a lifting lowering direction in which the support base is lifted and lowered by the second lifting lowering mechanism.
