A lighting module includes: a substrate; a light source located on the substrate; a first lens on which light emitted from the light source is to be incident; and a first holder to which the substrate and the first lens are fixed. Light exiting the first lens is substantially parallel light that is substantially parallel to the optical axis when viewed from a first direction intersecting an optical axis of the light source. The light exiting the first lens is substantially parallel light oblique to the optical axis when viewed from a second direction intersecting the optical axis and the first direction. A first end part of the first lens in the second direction is fixed to the first holder. When viewed from a third direction in which the optical axis extends, the first holder does not protrude outward of the first lens in the second direction.

A lighting device includes a light source, a lens receiving light from the light source, and a reflector including multiple first reflecting regions, wherein each first reflecting region reflects light from the lens in a first direction crossing an optical axis of light incident on the lens. The first reflecting regions are arranged with steps interposed therebetween so that the regions further toward a light-emitting side of the reflector in the first direction have greater distances from the lens in a second direction in which the optical axis extends. A light distribution angle of light from a first part of the lens further toward the light-emitting side than the optical axis in the first direction is less than a light distribution angle of light from a second part of the lens further toward a side opposite to the light-emitting side than the optical axis in the first direction.

A light emitting device includes: a substrate; a light emitting element; a wavelength conversion layer; and a wall surrounding the wavelength conversion layer, having an opening portion exposing at least a part of a top surface of the wavelength conversion layer, and containing a light reflective material. The surface of the wall includes a top surface provided at a higher position than the top surface of the wavelength conversion layer, and an inner surface forming the opening portion. The wall includes a first portion surrounding the wavelength conversion layer, and a second portion provided over the first portion and surrounding the first portion. The opening portion is hollow. An angle of a corner portion between the top surface and the inner surface of the wall is in a range of 90 degrees or greater and less than 180 degrees.

A lighting device that includes a light source, a first optical element configured to convert light emitted from the light source into substantially parallel light, and a plurality of second optical elements arranged in a first direction. Each of the plurality of second optical elements has a light incident surface. A lighting device includes: a light source having a light-emitting surface; a reflector having a reflective surface configured to reflect light emitted from the light source; and a lens on which light reflected by the reflective surface is incident. The reflective surface is composed of a portion of a spheroidal surface that includes a first focal point located on the light-emitting surface and a second focal point located between the reflective surface and the lens. The reflective surface intersects a major axis of the spheroidal surface. A method of manufacturing a light emitting device includes: bonding a wavelength conversion sheet containing phosphor particles onto upper surfaces of light emitting elements mounted on a substrate; dividing the wavelength conversion sheet into a plurality of wavelength conversion members, each corresponding to one of the light emitting elements, by cutting from an upper surface of the wavelength conversion sheet; forming light reflecting members between adjacent ones of the wavelength conversion members to reflect light emitted from the light emitting elements; and machining an upper surface of a collective body including the wavelength conversion members and the light reflecting members into a curved surface having a concave shape.

Method of manufacturing light emitting device

A light emitting device includes: a substrate; a plurality of light emitting elements mounted on the substrate; a plurality of wavelength conversion members, each containing phosphor particles and being disposed on a respective one of the light emitting elements; and a plurality of light reflecting members disposed between adjacent ones of the wavelength conversion members to reflect light emitted from the light emitting elements. The wavelength conversion members and the light reflecting members are included in a collective body that has a curved upper surface having a concave shape.

A value in the vertical direction of a horizontal-to-vertical ratio for a light-emitting area of light-emitting elements is smaller than a value in the horizontal direction of a horizontal-to-vertical ratio for the light projected from the projection lens.

A light emitting device is provided. The light emitting device includes a substrate and a plurality of light emitting elements. The light emitting elements are electrically connected on the substrate, each having a light emitting surface. A light-transmissive member is arranged on the light emitting elements and a light-reflective member covers a lateral surface of the light emitting elements and a lateral surface of the light-transmissive member. The plurality of light emitting elements include a plurality of first light emitting elements and a second light emitting element that has an area of the light emitting surface smaller than that of each of the first light emitting elements. The second light emitting element is arranged between the first light emitting elements.

A lighting unit includes a board on which a light emitting portion having a semiconductor light emitting device is arrayed on an upper side along the longitudinal direction. The lighting unit also includes a reflector which is disposed on the upper side of the board, and has a reflection portion inside the reflector for reflecting a light from the light emitting portion, as well as covering the light emitting portion. The lighting unit further includes a case disposed so as to support the board and the reflector from the top and the bottom.
