A positioning control system has a disturbance observer for estimating a disturbance from a displaced distance of a cylinder of a controlled object, and feeding back an estimated disturbance. The positioning control system also includes a saturation element and a low-pass element disposed in a feedback loop including the disturbance observer, and a saturated value changer for changing a saturated value of the saturation element based on a deviation. The saturation element is disposed in a forward path of a positive-feedback minor loop, whereas the low-pass element is disposed in a feedback path of the positive-feedback minor loop.

Positioning control system and filter

A slight-vibration-suppressing mechanism is attached to a piston rodof an air pressure cylinder that stops the piston at a target position by means of a positioning control. The slight-vibration-suppressing mechanism includes a friction member formed of a pair of sealing members being in contact with the piston rod, and an air cell of compressed air fed to a periphery of the piston rod is formed by means of the friction member. An air flow path to feed and discharge the compressed air to the aforementioned air cell is formed, in which the compressed air generates a sliding friction, which suppresses slight vibration, via the friction member between the piston rod and the aforementioned friction member.

Air pressure cylinder for positioning control

In an air servo cylinder formed by integrally combining an air cylinder, servo valves, and a controller via a manifold block, there are provided, in the manifold block, air discharge flow paths for releasing, to the outside, compressed air discharged associated with operations of the servo valves. In each of the air discharge flow paths, a silencer for reducing exhaust noise is incorporated so as not to protrude from the manifold block to the outside.

A method for controlling an air servo cylinder apparatus includes an advancing process of advancing a piston up to a target position by controlling, by a controller, servo valves individually connected to a pressure chamber on the head side and that on the rod side of the cylinder, and a pressurizing process of subsequently applying a required pressurizing force to the piston. In the advancing process, the piston starts to be driven with the servo valve on the head side opened to the air intake side and the servo valve on the rod side opened to the exhaust side. Thereafter, the opening degree of the servo valve on the rod side is varied into an opening degree in accordance with a deviation of the current position from the target position, and thereby the piston is smoothly decelerated as it approaches the target position.

Air servo cylinder apparatus and controlling method therefor

The invention includes a moving step of moving a piston to a target position by supplying and discharging compressed air to and from pressure chambers on opposite sides of the piston of a pressure cylinder by driving servo valves by a controller, a clamping step of allowing a pressure member at a tip end of a piston rod to touch a workpiece softly in this target position, and a pressing force applying step of pressing the workpiece with the pressure member in a required force.

A communication chamber defined in a body is supplied with a fluid under pressure through a pipe connected to a supply port defined in the body. The fluid under pressure is ejected from the communication chamber through fluid ejection members, which are made of a porous material and mounted on an end face of the body by a plate, toward a workpiece. The workpiece is levitated upwardly and held airborne by the fluid under pressure that is ejected toward the workpiece and the fluid under pressure that flows between the workpiece and the plate.

A spring or springs are provided between driving-side members that operate together with an output shaft of a stepping motor, and driven-side members that operate together with a jaw member. Thereby, when the jaw members performs opening motion, the driving-side members and the driven-side member directly engage with each other, thereby allowing a driving force to be transmitted directly from the output shaft to the jaw members.
