This display device includes n number of liquid crystal displays, where n is an integer of 2 or more, light sources that can emit light of a plurality of different colors and that are provided to the respective liquid crystal displays, and a processor that causes the light sources to emit light of different colors so as to vary emission start timings for the respective light sources provided to the liquid crystal displays on the basis of input signals including color information regarding sub display images to be displayed on the respective liquid crystal displays.

Display device and display method

A capturing device has a lens block that includes a lens for focusing light from a subject during a daytime, the subject includes a vehicle. The capturing device further includes an image sensor that captures an image based on light from the subject focused by the lens, and a processor that generates a face image of an occupant riding in the vehicle based on a first number of captured imaged of the subject which are captured by the image sensor at different times. The processor generates the face image of the occupant further based on a second number of captured images in which a luminance value of a region of interest is equal to or smaller than a threshold value among the first number of captured images of the subject.

Capturing camera

A capturing camera has a lens block that includes a lens for focusing light from a vehicle as a subject, an image sensor that captures an image based on light from the vehicle focused by the lens, a filter unit that rotatably supports a polarization filter which limits the light from the vehicle received by the image sensor, a sensor that detects a daytime mode or a night mode, a processor that disposes the polarization filter on a front side of the image sensor in the daytime mode, and disposes a band pass filter on the front side of the image sensor in the night mode, and an illuminator that irradiates the subject with IR light in the night mode. The filter unit switchably supports the polarization filter and the band pass filter that transmits the IR light.

A display device displays video for a virtual image. The display device includes a video generation unit generates image light representing the video, a concave mirror has a reflective surface on which the image light is reflected, and a support mechanism adjusts a position of the concave mirror. The concave mirror has, in each position on the reflective surface, a first radius of curvature in the first direction and a second radius of curvature in a second direction. The first radius of curvature and the second radius of curvature individually change and have different rates of change. The reflective surface has a shape following a partial region on an outer surface of an ellipsoid. The ellipsoid has a radius along the first direction that is greater than a radius along the second direction and a radius along a third direction orthogonal to the first direction and the second direction.

Display device

The present disclosure provides a display apparatus, in which a shift of a transmission or reflection wavelength characteristic due to an incident angle of light is suppressed, and observation of external light necessary for display and image light necessary for display is possible. The display apparatus of the present disclosure includes an image light generator that generates image light by use of light in each of at least a first wavelength band, a second wavelength band, and a third wavelength band, and a light synthesizing part that transmits external light and reflects the image light. The light synthesizing part has a transparent substrate having a concave surface on which the image light is reflected, and a film that is provided on the concave surface of the substrate, reflects the image light, and transmits light in a predetermined wavelength band of the external light.

Display apparatus

An image display apparatus includes: a first light source; a second light source; a deflection unit for deflecting the light emitted from the first light source toward a viewing position of the first image and deflecting the light emitted from the second light source toward a viewing position of the second image; and a spatial light modulator that has a plurality of pixels each of which includes a plurality of subpixels, and modulates the light having passed through the deflection unit on the basis of a first image signal and a second image signal. Each of subpixels is formed in a shape where the length in the first direction, which is substantially parallel with the line connecting the viewing position of the first image to the viewing position of the second image, is longer than or equal to the length in the second direction orthogonal to the first direction.

Image display apparatus

A display device includes a display portion for displaying a video, a generator for generating a synchronization signal including a command signal synchronized with display of frame images of the video and a transmitter for transmitting the synchronization signal. The command signal including a predetermined member of pulse signals has a leading pulse signal for notifying a start of the command signal, a terminal pulse signal for notifying an end of the command signal and a control pulse signal for notifying a content of synchronization control synchronized with the display of the frame images.

Display device, eyeglass device and image system

Provided is a video system equipped with a video display apparatus and video viewing glasses used for viewing a video displayed on the video display apparatus. The video display apparatus includes: a display section for displaying the video; a synchronizing signal generator for generating an external synchronizing signal in synchronism with the video to notify a display end of a frame constituting the video in synchronism with the video; and a synchronizing signal transmitter for transmitting the external synchronizing signal to the video viewing glasses. The video viewing glasses include: a synchronizing signal receiver for receiving the external synchronizing signal; an optical filter section having a pair of optical filters for adjusting light amounts to be transmitted to left and right eyes of a viewer, respectively; and an optical filter controller for controlling the optical filter section in response to the external synchronizing signal.

Video display apparatus, video viewing glasses, and system comprising the display apparatus and the glasses

A source device combines right-eye video frame data with left-eye video frame data into combined video frame data every video frame. Then, the source device generates a plurality of packets by dividing the combined video frame data into packets so as to insert information on a horizontal position for a horizontal display time interval and information on a vertical position for a vertical display time interval of a first pixel of the combined video frame data stored in the packets, into a header of each packet for transmitting the combined video frame data, as information for identifying right-eye video frame data and left-eye video frame data.

Source device, sink device, communication system and method for wirelessly transmitting three-dimensional video data using packets

An eyeglass device for assisting in viewing a video to be stereoscopically perceived includes an optical filter portion with left and right filters for adjusting light amount to be transmitted to left and right eyes, respectively and a controller for controlling adjustment operation of the light amount by the optical filter portion, wherein the controller switches a control mode of the optical filter portion between a first control mode of controlling the optical filter portion so that the adjustment operation becomes synchronized with display of a frame image of the video and a second control mode of controlling the optical filter so that that the adjustment operation becomes slower than a frame rate of the video to make a viewer perceive the adjustment operation which is asynchronous with the display of the frame image.

Eyeglass device and video system

An image display method can make the total time of light emission longer per display line. This method is an image display method used in an image display apparatus that repeats displaying images for a left eye and for a right eye alternately that form a stereoscopic image, on a screen including a plurality of display lines, and includes: a shield switching starting step (t) of starting switching a shielding state of an eyewear; a write-scan starting step () of starting sequentially writing display data of the images in a plurality of display lines; and a light emission starting step () of starting continuous light emission from the plurality of display lines, based on the display data, and the write-scan starting step starts writing the display data, in a period (S) in which the shielding state is switched; the light emission starting step does not allow a plurality of display lines to continue light emission in the period (S) in which the shielding state is switched; and a time required for starting of continuous light emission from the plurality of display lines is shorter than a time required for write-scanning of the display data in the plurality of display lines.

Image display apparatus and image display method

A source device transmits an output format notify message for video data to a sink device before transmitting the video data to the sink device, the output format notify message including a 3D field storing data for identifying whether the video data to be transmitted is two-dimensional video data or three-dimensional video data transmitted using frame packing. In response to this, the sink device identifies a type and a format structure of the video data, and decodes the received video data based on the identified type and format structure of the video data.

A light output control device for laser light sources for respective RGB colors includes, for each of RGB, three sets, each including: a semiconductor laser for one of the colors; light output detection unit for detecting a light output from the semiconductor laser; light output adjustment unit for updating a light output target value; light output control unit for controlling the semiconductor laser based on the updated light output target value; and division unit for dividing the light output by an output from the light output adjustment unit to obtain a ratio of the rising of the light output, and includes rising determination unit for determining, based on results obtained by the respective division unit, a semiconductor laser with a slowest rising and outputs light output adjustment values for the respective colors. The light output adjustment unit update their respective light output target values based on the light output adjustment values. The light output control unit causes their respective corresponding semiconductor lasers to operate in accordance with a semiconductor laser whose rising time is slowest, based on the updated light output target values to keep RGB color balance upon start-up.
