It is so arranged that a mount image suited to a user photo image can be selected. To accomplish this, a creator accesses a scrapbook server using a computer and executes a simulation for creating a scrapbook by affixing part images such as photographic images and decorative images to an image of a paper mount on the display screen of the computer. When a user photo image and a mount image are selected, thumbnail images of decorative images recommended as decorative images for the user photo image and mount image are displayed in a small window. The creator selects a desired decorative image from among the thumbnail images of the recommended decorative images. The selected decorative image is displayed on a scrapbook edit image.

Server for combining images, and method of controlling same

Group keys and image group names of image groups to which the owner of a digital camera belongs are transmitted from a server to the digital camera. The image group names are displayed in list form and an image group name is selected from the list. The group key of the selected image group is transmitted from the digital camera to the server. The server sends the digital camera access information for accessing the user computer of another user who belongs to the image group identified by the received group key. The digital camera accesses the user computer based upon the access information and receives the image file desired.

Image file sharing method, and digital camera and center server used in image file sharing system

A projection unit comprises a laser diode (LD) for emitting a laser beam, and a LD control section for controlling the LD. The laser beam emitted from the LD is scanned in horizontal and vertical directions respectively by first and second micro mirrors, and is projected on a projection surface through a projection window. Thus, images are displayed on the projection surface. An infrared sensor is disposed near the second micro mirror. The infrared sensor is disposed such that its light receiving surface faces the projection window, and detects human presence around a projection area of the laser beam. The LD control section does not start outputting the laser beam when the infrared sensor detects human presence. Also, the LD control section stops outputting the laser beam when the infrared sensor detects human presence while the image is being displayed.

Projection type image display apparatus

A image archiving apparatus is connected to a digital still camera and acquires the serial ID and product ID of the camera. The image archiving apparatus reads image files from the camera. If a camera folder corresponding to the connected camera has been generated, the read image files are stored in this folder. If the folder has not been generated, a new folder is generated and the read image files are stored in the generated folder. Image files are organized and stored in a folder that corresponds to the model of the camera that applies the image files to the image archiving apparatus.

A light beam scanning display for displaying an image on a drawing screen by modulating laser beams from three primary color light sources, the three primary color light sources being arranged in close vicinity to each other, based on image data respectively and then scanning the laser beams, the light beam scanning display comprising: a parallelizing section that parallelizes respective laser beams; wherein the laser beams being parallelized by the parallelizing section to form one pixel of a drawn image on the drawing screen via different optical paths such that optical axes of the laser beams do not overlap with each other.
