Disclosed is an actuator, comprising a casing prepared by integrally bonding a first case member and a second case member which are separated from each other in an axial direction of the casing, bracket holding portions formed to provide a pair on the inner surfaces of the first and second case members, a motor having a mounting bracket and housed in the casing with the mounting bracket held by the bracket holding portions, a worm gear mounted to a rotary shaft of the motor, and an operating section including a worm wheel which is rotated in mesh with the worm gear so as to impart a predetermined driving force to an adjustment section of an apparatus to be controlled, wherein the bracket holding portion of the first case member includes a groove formed along an inner peripheral portion of the holding portion for receiving one peripheral portion of the mounting bracket of the motor, and the bracket holding portion of the second case member includes a pushing portion formed along an inner peripheral portion of the holding portion for pushing the other peripheral portion of the mounting bracket of the motor.

Actuator

A device for adjusting and controlling the optical axis of a headlamp including an optical axis initial setting mechanism which includes a manual operation section consisting of two operation bolts and a position adjustment member. The bolts provided with operation gears at one end are mounted to the casing of the device in a symmetrical positions on the left and right sides with the head portions of the operation bolts exposed to outside of the casing of the device. The position adjusting member has a gear portion at one end that engages with respective operation gears of the operation bolts and also has an engagement portion at the other end that engages with the aiming shaft so that the engagement portion, which is used for adjustment and control of the optical axis of the headlamp, can slide in the axial direction but cannot rotate in the circumferential direction of the aiming shaft.

An actuator for a door lock mechanism, that is capable of sufficiently securing a strong driving force as well as a necessary stroke quantum, that is small in size, and that makes manual operation possible under a light load, comprising: a columnar body that is rotated by a forward-reverse motor and provided with, on its outer circumferential surface, a first spiral stage, which forms an upward gradient in a first direction when the columnar body rotates in a forward direction, a second spiral stage which forms an upper-gradient in a second direction when the columnar body rotates in a reverse direction; and a displacement component having one end driven to move in the first direction by the first spiral stage at the time of the positive rotation of the columnar body and in the second direction by the second spiral stage when the columnar body rotates in the reverse direction, thus causing another end of the displacement component to actuate a latch mechanism for locking doors.

Actuator for door lock mechanism

An apparatus that controls the light irradiation angle of a headlamp of vehicles including a feed screw rotatable by a motor, a movable piece that makes a reciprocating motion by the feed screw, an output shaft attached to the movable piece at one end and linked to a headlamp at another end so that the illumination angle of the headlamp is controlled by the advancing and withdrawing motion of the output shaft. The apparatus further includes an irradiation angle initial setting mechanism that is connected to the movable piece so that the irradiation angle can be set manually by adjusting the position of linkage of the headlamp and the output shaft via the movable piece. With this structure, any initial setting of the headlamp angle can be accomplished regardless of the type of vehicles via a compact and simple structure.
