Configuration of a hinge for avoiding likely collection of water provides a connector to prevent difficulty of opening or closing a cover by freezing of the hinge. A connector mounted in an electric vehicle and connected with a connector of a charging cable is provided with a housing, a cover rotatively pivoted about the housing so as to open or close the cover, and a shaft. The cover is provided with a pair of cover side mounting plates including a shaft hole passing the shaft therethrough, and the housing is provided with a pair of housing side mounting plates including a shaft hole passing a shaft therethrough, and positioning the pair of cover side mounting plates therebetween. The pair of cover side mounting plates is provided with a boss cylindrically upstanding from each of faces opposite to the pair of housing side mounting plates, and passing the shaft therethrough.

Pivotal cover

Disclosed are a terminal allowing work for attaching the cap to the insertion part to eliminate, and to provide in a short time the cap to the insertion part, and a method of forming the cap of the terminal. In a terminal, at a tip end of a tubular insertion part a resin made cap is provided, the insertion part includes an annular portion with narrower diameter than that the insertion part at a tip end thereof, the cap is disposed at the insertion part by a dipping work covering the annular portion in an inner side away from a tip end of the insertion part past the annular portion.

Terminal and method of forming cap of terminal

To provide a connector of which cover is easily opened even when the cover is firmly fixed to a housing due to freezing, and cannot be opened by only biasing force of a spring. Connector

Provided is a connector in which a cover is readily closed when ice is induced between a pair of shaft attachment plates by such snowfall. A connector mounted in an electric vehicle and connected to a connector of a charge cable is provided with a housing, a cover rotatably pivoted by the housing and covering an opening of the housing, a latch, and shafts. The cover is provided with a pair of shaft attachment plates and a rib arranged between the pair of shaft attachment plates. The rib extends in a direction perpendicular to a direction of the pair of shaft attachment plates being opposed to each other, and formed such that its tip is peaked. In the connector, even when ice is induced, rotation of the cover in closing direction allows the ice to be broken by the rib so as to readily close the cover.

Provided is a terminal fitting capable of making an electric contact portion and a cap member retained at the electric contact portion to be reliably engaged together. A terminal fitting includes an electric contact portion provided at one end side and formed into a tube-like shape such that a mating terminal is fitted thereto, an electric wire connection portion provided at the other end side and arranged to fasten an electric wire, and a cap member fitted to a distal end of the electric contact portion and retained at the distal end. A first engagement portion arranged to engage with the cap member is provided at the distal end of the electric contact portion, and the cap member is provided with a second engagement portion arranged to engage with the first engagement portion.
