A contactless power feeding system comprises a power feeding device and a movable device. The movable device is installed on a power feeding case of the power feeding device, and a liquid crystal TV (E) is installed on the movable device. The liquid crystal TV (E) can be arranged at a desired position on a wall (W) in a room (R) by moving the movable device along the power feeding case. The liquid crystal TV (E) can be arranged at a desired height by moving the liquid crystal TV (E) in the axial direction of a guide pipe provided on a power receiving case. The liquid crystal TV (E) can be directed in a desired direction by rotating the liquid crystal TV (E) around the guide pipe. The contactless power feeding system feeds power to the liquid crystal TV (E) via the power feeding device and the movable device.

A primary coil (L) is excited by selectively using: a first resonance frequency (AL) near a frequency determined by the primary coil (L) and a primary-side capacitor (C), said primary coil (L) being placed in a power-supply area (AR); and a second resonance frequency (BL) near a frequency determined by a secondary-side inductance component and a secondary-side capacitance component, said components existing when the primary coil (L) faces a secondary coil (L).

Non-contact power transmission device drive method and non-contact power transmission device

A wireless power transmission device includes a detection coil and a capacitor that configure a resonance circuit. An oscillation circuit generates high-frequency current corresponding to a detection frequency for performing presence detection of an electric appliance and metal. A presence detection circuit performs presence detection of the electric appliance and the metal based on an output voltage obtained by exciting the detection coil with the high-frequency current having the detection frequency. A detection condition changing circuit performs an initial value setting mode that changes a detection condition of the presence detection circuit in accordance with a resonance characteristic. The detection condition changing circuit includes a detection frequency changing circuit that changes the detection frequency in accordance with the resonance characteristic.

Wireless power transmission device

A metal detection device includes a metal detection coil arranged in a metal detection area, wherein the metal detection coil is excited, and an electromagnetic wave radiated from the metal detection coil detects whether metal exists in the metal detection area. An oscillation circuit generates a sinusoidal oscillating current having a single fundamental frequency and supplies the oscillating current to the metal detection coil to excite the coil. A harmonic level detection circuit detects a harmonic component of the fundamental frequency component of the oscillating current and generates a detection signal. A comparison circuit compares a signal level of the detection signal and a pre-set reference value. A processing circuit determines whether metal exists in the metal detection area based on a comparison result. When determining that metal exists in the metal detection area, the processing circuit drives a notification unit to issue a notification indicating detection of metal.
