A radioactive gas measurement apparatus comprises: a radiation measurement cell comprising an inlet pipe and a discharge pipe, the radiation measurement cell introducing and discharging a radioactive gas containing a nuclide to be measured and a positron emitter nuclide through the inlet pipe and the discharge pipe; a radiation detector for measuring a radiation generated from the radioactive gas; and a radiation collimator allowing the radiation measurement cell to communicate with the radiation detector and setting a predetermined radiation measurement geometry condition between the radiation measurement cell and the radiation detector. Then, as the predetermined radiation measurement geometry condition, an inner wall area of the radiation measurement cell which the radiation detector views through the radiation collimator is set equal to or less than a half of a total inner wall area of the radiation measurement cell.

Radioactive gas measurement apparatus and failed fuel inspection apparatus

Provided is a measurement unit and measurement method for reducing attenuation due to optical fiber length and SN degradation due to background in a dosage rate monitor that uses optical fiber. This system comprises: a radiation detector for detecting radiation dosage; a light source for irradiating stimulating light on the radiation detector; a photodetector for detecting light generated by the radiation detector; an optical fiber for connecting the photodetector and the radiation detector and light source, and transmitting light from the light source and light from the radiation detector; a measurement unit for counting the pulses outputted from the photodetector; and an analysis unit for extracting the luminous energy originating from the radiation detector, from time information, wave height information, and the count value, which are measurement results obtained by the measurement unit, and converting the luminous energy to a dosage and dosage rate.

Dosage rate measurement system and dosage rate measurement method

A gamma scanning apparatus includes a moving and fixing mechanism which moves/fixes a housing to a definite position, and a rotating and moving mechanism which moves a fuel assembly vertically in addition to rotating the assembly. A gamma-ray counting circuit measures an output of a gamma-ray detector, and a data collecting/analyzing and controlling apparatus analyzes data output from the gamma-ray counting circuit, in association with data relating to the rotation and movement of the fuel assembly by the rotating and moving mechanism. The rotating and moving mechanism, after fixing the vertical position of the fuel assembly with the housing also fixed, rotates the fuel assembly through 360&#xb0; with its height kept constant, and during the 360&#xb0; rotation of the fuel assembly, the gamma-ray counting circuit measures either a time average of count values of the detector during the rotation or an integral value within a fixed time.

Gamma scanning apparatus

At a worksite of a client, progeny nuclides of radon and thoron are collected into a filter, then making the gross measurement on &#x3b1;-ray amount within an hour from the collection. Next, the filter is sent to an analysis center with information added thereto, such as collection-condition information, gross-measurement information, and sampling-worksite information. At the analysis center, the gross measurement on the filter sent thereto is made again. Also, the radioactive-nuclide analysis is made to perform evaluation of the radioactivity intensity. Moreover, radon amount and thoron amount at the measurement-specimen sampling points-in-time at the worksite are calculated, then reporting the analysis result of the radon and thoron amounts to the client.

Environmental radioactivity measurement system of administration and an analysis method of the radioactivity

The image pickup device includes a large number of radiation detectors and radiation detector support plates. A large number of radiation detectors are mounted around the circumference of a through-hole and arranged in the axial direction of the through-hole. The radiation detectors are arranged in three layers formed radially with respect to the center of the through-hole and mounted on the lateral surfaces of the radiation detector support plates. Since the radiation detectors are not only arranged in the axial direction and circumferential direction of the through-hole but also arrayed in the radial direction, it is possible to obtain accurate information about a &#x3b3;-ray arrival position in the radial direction of the through-hole (the positional information about a radiation detector from which a &#x3b3;-ray image pickup signal is output). The use of accurate information about &#x3b3;-ray arrival increases the tomogram accuracy. As a result, the present invention enhances the, tomogram accuracy, that is, the PET examination accuracy.

A radiological imaging apparatus of the present invention comprises an image pickup device and a medical examinee holding device that is provided with a bed. The image pickup device includes a large number of radiation detectors and radiation detector support plates. A large number of radiation detectors are mounted around the circumference of a through-hole and arranged in the axial direction of the through-hole. The radiation detectors are arranged in three layers formed radially with respect to the center of the through-hole and mounted on the lateral surfaces of the radiation detector support plates. Radiation imaging system and nuclear medicine diagnosis instrument therefor

A radiological imaging apparatus of the present invention includes an X-ray source for emitting an X-ray, a &#x3b3;-ray detecting section for outputting a detection signal of a &#x3b3;-ray, and an X-ray detecting section for outputting a detecting signal of an X-ray. The X-ray source moves around a bed for placing an examinee. The &#x3b3;-ray detecting section has a plurality of radiation detectors aligned in the longitudinal direction of the bed and placed around the bed. The X-ray detecting section is positioned in a region formed between one end and the other end of the &#x3b3;-ray detecting section in the longitudinal direction of the bed. The X-ray source is also positioned in the region. Since the X-ray detecting section is placed in the region, it is possible to accurately combine a PET image and an X-ray computed tomographic image.

Radiological imaging apparatus and radiological imaging method and radiological imaging support method

In a gamma camera, a plurality of radiation detector elements having a rod-shaped first electrode, a semiconductor device surrounds the first electrode to contact with it for entering a radiation, and a second electrode provided for the side surface of the semiconductor device are detachably attached to a holding member. The holding member has a first electrode contact portion contacted with the first electrode and a second electrode contact portion contacted with the second electrode. A collimator in which a plurality of radiation paths provided corresponding to the plurality of radiation detector elements are formed is arranged on the radiation entering side of the plurality of radiation detector elements. A &#x3b3;-ray detection signal outputted from the first electrode contact portion is sent to a signal processing integrated circuit. A high voltage is applied to the second electrode via the second electrode contact portion.

Radiation detector, radiation detector element, and radiation imaging apparatus

The radiological imaging system which can improve an energy resolution and perform a diagnosis with high accuracy includes a bed for carrying an examinee H, first and second imaging apparatuses and disposed along the longitudinal direction of the bed. The first imaging apparatus has a plurality of semiconductor radiation detectors for detecting &#x3b3;-rays emitted from the examinee H, arranged around the bed, the second imaging apparatus has an X-ray source for emitting X-rays to the examinee H and a radiation detector for detecting X-rays which have been emitted from the X-ray source and passed through the examinee H, and the bed is shared by the first imaging apparatus and the second imaging apparatus.

Semiconductor radiological detector and semiconductor radiological imaging apparatus

There are provided a radiation detection module, a printed circuit board, and a radiological imaging apparatus which make it possible to enhance spatial resolution without increasing channel number, and thereby to perform high-accuracy diagnosis. The radiation detection module includes a plurality of radiation detectors, and a wiring board on which the plurality of radiation detectors are mounted in a manner of being arranged in at least a radiation traveling direction. Here, on the wiring board, a pair of the radiation detectors which are adjacent to each other in the radiation traveling direction are electrically connected to each other, thereby configuring one detector structure (i.e., detection channel). Moreover, the radiation detectors are mounted onto the wiring board such that respective connection parts of electrodes, which are to be electrically connected to each other, are in a mutually-facing state.
