In order to reduce the environmental load on an area where a herbicide is applied or a surrounding area thereof more than ever, it has been required to improve activity of a herbicidal active ingredient and to reduce its dose as far as possible. A herbicidal composition comprising (1) a benzoylpyrazole compound represented by the formula (I) or its salt: wherein each of Q, R, R, R, R, R, Rand A is as defined in the specification, and (2) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a polyoxyalkylene sorbitan fatty acid ester, a polyoxyalkylene fatty acid ester, a polyoxyalkylene styryl aryl ether, a polyoxyalkylene styryl aryl ether condensate and a polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether sulfate.

Herbicidal composition having improved herbicidal activity

At present, many herbicidal compositions have been developed and used, but there are a variety of types of weeds to be controlled, and their development lasts for a long period of time. Thus, a high active and long-residual herbicidal composition having a broad herbicidal spectrum has been desired. The present invention provides a synergistic herbicidal composition comprising (A) flazasulfuron or its salt and (B) at least one urea compound selected from the group consisting of tebuthiuron, diuron and metobromuron or its salt. According to the synergistic herbicidal composition of the present invention, a high active and long-residual herbicidal composition having a broad-spectrum can be provided.

[OBJECT] To provide a novel pesticide. [MEANS OF ACCOMPLISHING THE OBJECT] The present invention provides a herbicidal composition which comprises as active ingredients (a) a herbicidal benzoylpyrazole compound represented by the formula (I) or its salt:  wherein Ris alkyl or cycloalkyl, Ris a hydrogen atom or alkyl, Ris alkyl, Ris alkyl, haloalkyl or the like, Ris a hydrogen atom, alkyl or the like, Ris haloalkyl, halogen or the like, and A is alkylene substituted by alkyl, and (b) other herbicidal compound.

At present, various herbicidal compositions have been developed and used, but they are not necessarily sufficient to control undesired plants such as weeds to be controlled, and a highly active herbicidal composition has been desired. A herbicidal composition comprising 1-(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)-3-(3-trifluoromethyl-2-pyridylsulfonyl) urea or its salt and 2-(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-ylcarbamoylsulfamoyl)-N,N-dimethylnicotinamide or its salt, and a method for controlling undesired plants using it.

The herbicidal composition has as active ingredients (a) a herbicidal benzoylpyrazole compound represented by the formula (I) or its salt: wherein Q is &#x2014;C(O)SRor a hydrogen atom, Ris alkyl or cycloalkyl, Ris a hydrogen atom or alkyl, Ris alkyl, cycloalkyl or the like, Ris alkyl, haloalkyl or the like, Ris a hydrogen atom, alkyl or the like, Ris haloalkyl, halogen or the like, and (b) a further herbicidal compound.

The present invention provides a novel herbicide showing excellent herbicidal effects, which has a wide application range including agricultural fields and non-agricultural fields and various application methods including soil treatment and foliage treatment. A pyrazole compound represented by the formula (I) or its salt: wherein Ris alkyl, Ris a hydrogen atom or alkyl, Ris alkyl, Ris alkyl, Ris alkyl substituted by one alkoxy, alkoxy substituted by one alkoxy, or alkoxycarbonyl, Ris alkylsulfonyl, A is alkylene substituted by at least one alkyl; a process for its production; a herbicide containing it as an active ingredient; and a method for controlling undesired plants or inhibiting their growth, which comprises applying a herbicidally effective amount thereof to the undesired plants or to a place where they grow.
