A light-emitting diode (LED) lighting device includes (i) a selector circuit that sequentially and cyclically selects a plurality of LED loads one by one, the plurality of LED loads respectively emitting light as a result of being selected, and (ii) a control circuit that controls the selector circuit to cause an intermediate color to be produced by successively generating frames, each frame being a temporal combination of at least one first cycle period and at least one second cycle period, the at least one first cycle period generating a first mixed emission color, and the at least one second cycle period generating a second mixed emission color different from the first mixed emission color.

A light emission control device includes a light emission controller which controls a light emitter and performs normal control and wake-up control, the normal control being control for causing the light emitter to emit light having a color temperature and luminance according to an instruction of a user, the wake-up control being control for causing the light emitter to emit light at increasing luminance over time to wake up the user who is sleeping. An illumination apparatus includes light sources differing from one another in terms of light-emission color and voltage drop when identical current flows therein, switches in one-to-one correspondence with the light sources, a DC power supply circuit, and a control circuit. The control circuit performs a first control of the switches through a time division control method such that an on-period of each switch is not overlapped with that of any other switch. The control circuit also performs a second control to individually control at least one of a target current magnitude, flowing through each switch in the switched-on state, and a target on-period length of each switch, and to adjust a ratio of the plurality of light sources in terms of a product of the target current magnitude and the target on-period length.

A lighting device which causes a first light source to emit illumination light and a second light source to emit illumination light having a color temperature higher than a color temperature of the illumination light emitted by the first light source includes: an illuminator which includes a first switching element connected in series to the first light source, and a second switching element connected in series to the second light source; an illumination controller which controls the illuminator to place at least one of the first switching element and the second switching element into an off state; and a constant-current controller which detects a sum of values of currents flowing through the first light source and the second light source, and controls the first switching element and the second switching element based on the sum.

A DC power supply circuit outputs a DC voltage having a voltage value capable of causing light-emitting diodes to emit light. A lighting device includes a power conversion unit, an impedance adjustment unit, a first control unit, and a second control unit. The power conversion unit is configured to convert input power to direct-current power used for a light source. The impedance adjustment unit is formed of a series circuit of a resistor element and a switch element and is coupled to the light source in parallel, relative to the power conversion unit. The second control unit is configured to cause the power conversion unit to operate, for each burst cycle, for an operation period which is not longer than the burst cycle, and increase and reduce the ratio of the operation period to the burst cycle. The first control unit is configured to make the switch element conductive for a predetermined adjustment period which is not longer than the operation period, during the operation period.

Lighting device and lighting fixture

The lighting device according to the present invention includes a power supply circuit, a temperature detection circuit, and a temperature control circuit. The power supply circuit supplies operation power to a light source including a solid state light emitting device. The temperature detection circuit measures a surrounding temperature of the light source and outputs the measured surrounding temperature as a detection temperature. The temperature control circuit determines whether an increase rate of the surrounding temperature exceeds a predetermined criterion value. When determining that the increase rate exceeds the criterion value, the temperature control circuit performs a process of decreasing a temperature of the light source.
