A sensor device includes a substrate having a substrate surface, a first IDT electrode, a second IDT electrode, and a waveguide. The first IDT electrode and the second IDT electrode are positioned on the substrate surface. The waveguide is positioned on the substrate surface and between the first IDT electrode and the second IDT electrode. At least one of the first IDT electrode and the second IDT electrode includes a reference electrode and a signal electrode each including a plurality of electrode fingers, the plurality of electrode fingers being arranged in a juxtaposed manner in one direction. A distance between the at least one of the first IDT electrode and the second IDT electrode and the waveguide is shorter than an interval between the reference electrode and the signal electrode in the one direction.

Sensor device

A sensor device includes a substrate having a substrate surface, a first IDT electrode positioned on the substrate surface, a second IDT electrode positioned on the substrate surface, a waveguide, and a protective film. The waveguide is positioned on the substrate surface and between the first IDT electrode and the second IDT electrode. The waveguide includes a first immobilized layer positioned on the substrate surface and a second immobilized layer positioned on the first immobilized layer. The second immobilized layer is positioned inside an outer edge of the first immobilized layer as seen in a plan view.

A biosensor includes a detection element having an analyte detecting portion which is monotonically increased in mass in response to detection of an analyte; a reference element having a reference measuring portion which exhibits no reactivity to the analyte; a mixer which mixes a detection signal responsive to mass variations in the analyte detecting portion from the detection element and a reference signal from the reference element; a measurement portion which calculates two candidate phase-change values of a positive value and a negative value, from a signal mixed by the mixer in accordance with a heterodyne system, and determines a phase-change value from the two candidate phase change value by judging whether the phase is positive or negative based on temporal changes in signal strength; and a detection amount calculation portion which calculates a detection amount of the analyte based on the phase change value determined by the measurement portion.

There are provided an analyte sensor and an analyte sensing method which provide measurements in a wide phase range, a reduction in size, and lowering of current consumption. A SAW sensor includes a substrate, first and second IDT on the substrate and a detector portion between the first and second IDT. The first IDT generates a surface acoustic wave in response to a high-frequency signal input. The second IDT receives the SAW from the first IDT, and converts the SAW to an electric signal and outputs the electric signal. A one pulse signal, which is input to the first IDT electrode, has an applying time that is at least as long as a delay time of a surface acoustic wave at the detector less an arrival time of a direct wave attributable to electromagnetic coupling between the first IDT and the second IDT electrode, and that is less than an arrival time at the second IDT of a third response wave of the surface acoustic wave from the first IDT.

Surface acoustic wave sensing device

The present invention relates to a small, low-height capacitor device in which deterioration of characteristics such as leakage current is reduced. The capacitor device includes a supporting substrate; at least one capacitor elementdisposed on the supporting substrate, including a dielectric layerand a pair of electrodesandsandwiching the dielectric layer; and a sealant that seals the capacitor elementthrough a space. The dielectric layerhas an exposed partexposed in the space. According to this structure, deterioration of the dielectric layer can be prevented, and a capacitor device exhibiting a good leakage current characteristic is obtained.
