The present invention relates to an ink-jet recording ink which can simultaneously achieve long-term preservation stability, high luster, and light fastness of a printed image, and an aqueous pigment liquid dispersion to produce the ink. Moreover, the present invention relates to a production method of the aqueous pigment liquid dispersion. For the aforementioned objects, the applicant provides an aqueous pigment liquid dispersion, including: C. I. pigment green 36 (a); a styrene-acrylic acid type copolymer (b); a basic compound (c); and a wetting agent (d), wherein the styrene-acrylic acid type copolymer (b) has styrene-based monomer units of 60 mass % or more in the total of all the monomer units, an acid value of 120 to 240, and a weight average molecular weight of 6,000 to 40,000, and the mass ratio (b)/(a) is within a range from 0.15 to 0.25.

A green pigment for a color filter including a phthalocyanine green pigment and capable of expressing a region of xy-chromaticity coordinate enclosed by predetermined equations 1, 2 and 3 defined by the XYZ color system of the CIE when the green pigment is solely subjected to colorimetry. Moreover, using the above-mentioned green pigment, it provides a photosensitive color composition capable of forming a color filter having a wide color reproduction range and a high transmittance. Furthermore, it provides a color filter having a wide color reproduction range and a high transmittance with a green pixel formed using the above mentioned photosensitive color composition, and a liquid crystal panel using the color filter.

A green pigment for a color filter including a phthalocyanine green pigment and capable of expressing a region of xy-chromaticity coordinate enclosed by predetermined equations 1, 2 and 3 defined by the XYZ color system of the CIE when the green pigment is soley subjected to colorimetry. Moreover, using the above-mentioned green pigment, it provides a photosensitive color composition capable of forming a color filter having a wide color reproduction range and a high transmittance. Furthermore, it provides a color filter having a wide color reproduction range and a high transmittance with a green pixel formed using the above-mentioned photosensitive color composition, and a liquid crystal panel using the color filter.

The present invention provides a color filter which is more durable than a dye-type color filter and also has green pixel portions which exhibit a bright green color having a strong yellowish tinge when used in a liquid crystal display device using a three-band lamp having a main emission line of green light of about 545 nm as a light source, thus enabling the liquid crystal display device to display bright images even when using a backlighting light source having a low intensity. This color filter comprises green pixel portions which (1) contain a halogenated metal phthalocyanine dye wherein 8 to 16 halogen atoms are bonded to benzene rings in one phthalocyanine molecule, and (2) exhibit maximum transmittance at a wavelength within a range from 520 nm to 590 nm with respect to the transmission spectra of the entire range of visible light.
