An adhesive tape which is to be arranged between a lens and at least one of a plurality of chucks in an edge-machining apparatus comprises an adhesive face for being in contact with the lens. A measurement of an adhesive strength of the adhesive face is 4 gf (0.0392 N) or more when a polyethylene terephthalate plate which has been subjected to a surface treatment with a fluorine-modified silicone parting agent is used as a test plate in an adhesive strength test method based on a 180&#xb0;-peeling method as defined in JIS Z 0237 'adhesive tape/adhesive sheet test method'. A technique which can be used to edge the lens in which an antifouling layer is formed by using a fluorine-containing silane compound having an excellent antifouling effect is also provided.

A spectacle lens that can lower the slipperiness of a lens surface to an extent that allows an edging process by making without deteriorating the stain-proofing performance of the stain-proofing layer, when a stain-proofing layer is formed of two or more kinds of silane compounds including at least one or more kinds of fluorine-containing silane compounds, and as for the dynamic friction coefficient of lens surfaces defined by each of the two or more kinds of silane compounds as a single component, the highest value of the dynamic friction coefficients 1.4 times or more of the lowest value of the dynamic friction coefficients; and a manufacturing method thereof are provided.

Stain-proofing spectacle lens and manufacturing method thereof

The object of the present invention is to achieve a dry toner that is of improved low-temperature fixability, pulverizability, offset resistance, durability and storability as well as improved transparency and light resistance and so provides a useful color toner, and provide a dry toner production process of improved continuous productivity. The dry toner of the invention is characterized by comprising as a binder resin a polymer that is obtained by bulk polymerization of a compound having at least two isocyanate groups and a compound having at least two functional groups, each containing active hydrogen, contains an urethane bond or urea bond in its main chain and has a number-average molecular weight (Mn) of 1,500 to 20,000 as measured on a polystyrene basis.

A contact lens colored with a poly(meth)acrylate-combined metallophthalocyanine compound represented by the following formula (I): ##STR1## wherein M represents a metal atom to which phthalocyanine can coordinate, R represents a halogen atom, m is an integer of 0 to 4, R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and A represents a hydrogen atom, a C.sub.1-12 alkyl group, a hydroxyC.sub.1-12 alkyl group or a glycerol group. The colored contact lens has sufficiently high fastness, so that the lens undergoes neither color change nor color fading even when it is sterilized by boiling.
