An actuator whose total length can be reduced is provided. An actuator () includes: a casing (); a hollow shaft () rotatably supported by the casing () via a bearing (), the hollow shaft () including a bottom portion (); a screw shaft () coupled to the bottom portion () of the hollow shaft (), the screw shaft () sharing a common center line with the hollow shaft (); and a nut () threadedly connected to the screw shaft (). The nut () is capable of moving in an axial direction of the screw shaft () to enter between the hollow shaft () and the screw shaft ().

Actuator or suspension

A suspension is provided which can not only generate a damping force between sprung mass and unsprung mass but also steer a wheel. A suspension includes: a shaft coupled to sprung mass of a vehicle, the shaft having a screw groove and a spline groove formed thereon; a ball screw nut assembled to the shaft via a ball; a ball spline nut assembled to the shaft via a ball; a ball screw-specific motor connected to the ball screw nut; a ball spline-specific motor connected to the ball spline nut; and a case coupled to unsprung mass of the vehicle, the case being configured to hold the ball screw-specific motor and the ball spline-specific motor. The ball spline-specific motor rotates the ball spline nut and the shaft relative to the case.

Suspension

Disclosed is a linear motor that can exert a high propulsive force and reduce cogging. A stator has a plurality of core units in a stroke direction. Each of the core units has a first core having a first magnetic pole and a second magnetic pole, which is different in polarity from the first magnetic pole, coils wound around the first core, a second core having a third magnetic pole and a fourth magnetic pole, which is different in polarity from the third magnetic pole, and coils wound around the second core. The third magnetic pole faces the first magnetic pole, and the fourth magnetic pole faces the second magnetic pole. A movable element is sandwiched between the first magnetic poles and the third magnetic poles, and between the second magnetic poles and the fourth magnetic poles.

Linear motor

A magnetic-scale-equipped motion guide apparatus is provided which can scrape iron powder adhered to a magnetic scale by a scraper or seal of a movable member without inviting adverse effects such as wearing away and deformation of the magnetic scale. Magnetic-scale-equipped motion guide apparatus

A linear encoder device () includes: a synchronization signal generation unit () configured to generate a periodic synchronization signal synchronized with a movement distance when a first sensor () installed to face a linear scale () is moved along the linear scale () based on a signal output by the first sensor (); a reference signal generation unit () configured to generate a pulse signal indicating that the reference mark is detected based on a signal output by a second sensor () installed along with the first sensor (); and a reference position detection unit () configured to generate a reference position signal indicating that a reference position decided in advance is detected when the synchronization signal is changed to a predetermined value after the reference signal generation unit () generates the pulse signal.

Linear encoder device and reference position detection method

Provided is a linear motor capable of preventing an increase in length of the armature in the moving direction and also of reducing cogging. The linear motor has a magnetic field part having a plurality of permanent magnets arranged in a straight line in such a manner that N poles and S poles are formed alternately; and an armature having a core which has a plurality of teeth arranged opposite to the magnetic field part with a gap created therebetween and a plurality of coils wound on the teeth of the core. Among the teeth with the coils wound around, a width TWin a relative moving direction of each of teeth placed at both ends in the relative moving direction of the armature is smaller, from a base part to an end part thereof, than a width TWin the relative moving direction of each of other teeth.

Linear motor with reduced cogging

Provided is a linear motor actuator which generates a sufficient thrust force and a retaining force and is remarkably smaller than conventional linear motor actuators. The linear motor actuator includes a base member () provided with a bottom plate () and a pair of side walls () and formed in a channel shape; a track rail () laid on the bottom plate along a longitudinal direction of the base member; a slide table () moving along the track rail; stator magnets () arranged on an inner side surface of each of side walls of the base member; and a pair of coil members () mounted to the slide table and opposed to the stator magnets provided to each of the side walls of the base member, thereby constituting a linear motor ().

Linear motor actuator

Provided is a linear motor capable of reducing cogging. The linear motor has a field magnet parthaving a plurality of permanent magnetsarranged to form N and S poles alternately; a corehaving a plurality of salient polesandarranged facing the field magnet part; and a three-phase coilwound around the salient polesandof the core. At respective sides in the moving direction of an armature having the three-phase coiland the core, auxiliary coresmade of a magnetic material are provided to sandwich the armature. The distance Pbetween a center of each auxiliary core and a center of a center salient poleis set to be substantially &#xbc;&#xd7;(2N+1)&#xd7;a magnetic pole pitch between N poles of the field magnet part(N: an integer equal to or greater than 1).

Linear motor and linear motor cogging reduction method

Provided is a linear synchronous motor in which, when a three-phase alternating current passes through a coil of a mover, thrust forces generated by the alternating currents of each phase are equalized, thereby making it possible to minimize variation in thrust force, the linear synchronous motor including: a stator magnet () in which N poles and S poles are alternately arranged linearly; and a mover () which is opposed to the stator magnet () at an interval therefrom, and which generates a shifting magnetic field along with passage of a three-phase alternating current, for applying a thrust force to the stator magnet (), in which: the mover () includes a core member () in which teeth (), the number of which is a whole-number multiple of a number of phases of the alternating currents, are arranged, and a coil () which is wound around the teeth () and through which the alternating current of any one of the phases passes; and of the plurality of teeth () provided to the core member (), the teeth () corresponding to a u phase and a w phase of the alternating currents passing through the coil () wound around the teeth () at both ends of the core member () have distal ends protruding toward the stator magnet () further than distal ends of the residual teeth ().

Linear synchronous motor and linear motor actuator

A track rail is formed in a channel-like configuration while having a guide passage for sliders. A table structure that moves within the guide passage includes: a pair of sliders that move forwards and backwards within the guide passage; and a connecting top board connecting those sliders to each other with a predetermined interval therebetween and provided with a mounting surface for a movable member. An armature constituting a linear motor is received between the pair of sliders, and field magnets constituting the linear motor are arranged in the track rail so as to face the guide passage. The armature and the field magnets, which constitute the linear motor, are completely integrated with the table structure and the track rail, which constitute a linear guide, and are entirely contained inside the linear guide.

There is provided a steering control device for a vehicle of a new structure utilizing a ball screw mechanism for compacting the structure. The steering control device for a vehicle includes a first input shaftconnected to a handle, a second input shaftconnected to a motor, an output shaftconnected to a steering wheel, a first transmission 6 for rotating a nutin accordance with the rotational motion of the first input shaftso as to transmit the rotational motion of the first input shaftto the rotational motion of the output shaft, and a second transmissionfor moving the nutlinearly in the axial direction with respect to the output shaftin accordance with the rotational motion of the second input shaftso as to transmit the rotational motion of the second input shaftto the rotational motion of the output shaft. The center line of the second input shaft and the center line of the output shaft are aligned on substantially the same straight line.
