In a rotating electric machine, an armature winding includes segmented conductors that include a coil side portion, housed in slots of the armature, and a coil end portion protruding from an armature core on both sides in an axial direction. The coil side portions are housed in the slots so as to form 2N+1 layers in a radial direction. The coil end portion connects two coil side portions respectively housed in the slots that are a predetermined pitch apart in a circumferential direction. The coil end portion includes a first coil end portion connecting the coil side portions of differing layers in the radial direction and a second coil end portion connecting the coil side portions of the same layer. On both ends in the axial direction, any of the plurality of coil side portions that are housed in the slots is connected to the second coil end portion.

A rotating electric machine includes a weld formed by welding end portions of a pair of electric conductors for forming a coil and a weld-insulating member that covers, at least, a surface of the weld. The weld has an uneven portion formed on at least part of the surface thereof. The uneven portion is constituted of a plurality of annular recesses and a plurality of annular protrusions. Rotating electric machine and method of manufacturing same

A double-stator electric rotating machine with a retainer. The retainer includes a connector which joints between an outer stator and an inner stator. The retainer is placed in contact with an outer peripheral surface of the outer stator and an inner peripheral surface of the inner stator to retain the outer and inner stators together. Specifically, the retainer works to join the outer stator and the inner stator together and also to tightly hold the outer periphery of the outer stator and the inner periphery of the inner stator, thus minimizing misalignment of the outer and inner stators in axial and radial directions there of.

Double-stator electric rotating machine

A rotating electric machine includes a rotor, and a stator that has a stator core and a stator winding. The stator core has a plurality of slots. The stator winding is wound around the stator core as a plurality of electrical conductors is aligned in the radial direction in the slots. The stator has an insulating sheet member that is bent in a rectangular cylindrical shape, and is intervened between the electrical conductor and an inner wall surface of the slot. A length of a bend line formed extending in the axial direction on the insulating sheet member from a reference position in a central section of the insulating sheet member in the axial direction to a tip in the axial direction is configured shorter than a length from the reference position to an end in the axial direction of the sheet member.

Rotary electric machine

The electric rotating machine has the structure in which, for each one of the slots formed in its stator core, each of the innermost and outermost electrical conductors housed in the slot includes a R-chamfered portion formed in a bent portion thereof projecting outside from the slot and bent along a circumferential direction of the stator core. The R-chamfered portion is located at a radially inner or outer corner of the bent portion at which a side surface of the bent portion on the side being circumferentially bent intersects with a side surface of the bent portion on the radially inner or outer side. The R-chamfered portion is formed of a curved surface having a curvature radius larger than a curvature radius of the other three corners of the bent portion.

Electric rotating machine

The electric rotating machine includes a rotor relatable around a rotating shaft disposed horizontally, a stator core formed with slots, and a stator coil constituted of in-slot portions each of which is accommodated in a corresponding one of the slots, and turn portions each of which connects corresponding adjacent two of the in-slot portions at a position outside the stator core. The turn portions form a coil end projecting axially outward from an end surface of the stator core at each of both axial end sides of the stator core. The coil end is formed in a cylindrical shape including an axial end surface of a flat shape, and inner and outer peripheral surfaces of a circular shape. The electric rotating machine further includes a coolant supply section to supply coolant to an upper part of the outer peripheral surface of the coil end.

In a rotating electric machine, a path length between a rotor and an inter-hetero-phase tooth where a magnetic flux from a magnetic pole proceeds from the rotor and starts to enter the inter-hetero-phase tooth is longer than a path length between the rotor and an inter-V-phase tooth where the magnetic flux proceeds from the rotor and starts to enter the inter-V-phase tooth.

Each coil fixing member is placed between a stator coil and at least one end surface of a stator core in an electric rotary machine in order to suppress a displacement between the stator core and the stator coil. The coil fixing member consists of a spacer and a bolt. The bolt and a corresponding screw hole formed on an end surface of the stator core are used to fix the stator core in the electric rotary machine. The spacer consists of a main body part and a bolt fixing part. The bolt fixing part has a bolt hole. The main body part has a tapered shape. The main body part is placed between the end surface of the stator core and connection parts of windings of the stator coil, and fixed to the stator core by the bolt through the bolt hole of the bolt fixing part.
