A printing machine includes a plurality of printing sections installed in a frame. Each printing section has a print head to print patterns on a print paper and a mechanism to feed print paper. The printing machine includes a print data input section configured to receive an input signal corresponding to a many-sheet print data of the patterns to be printed on the print paper; a print data allocation section configured to allocate the many-sheet print data to each printing section in units of pages; a fed paper delivery section configured to deliver print paper to each of the plurality of printing sections; and an ejected paper delivery section configured to deliver paper ejected from each of the plurality of printing sections in a desired sequence to a common output location.

Printing machine having print heads and control method thereof

A sheet supply system includes a sheet support table which is movable up and down and on which a stack of a plurality of sheets are supported, a sheet feed-out roller which feeds out the sheets on the sheet support table one by one from the uppermost one, and a table drive mechanism which moves the sheet support table up and down relative to the sheet feed-out roller. A level sensor detects the level of the uppermost sheet on the sheet support table, and a sheet feed-out level at which the uppermost sheet is kept during sheet supply operation of the system is set by use of an entry key. A controller actuates the table drive mechanism to move upward the sheet support table when the level of the uppermost sheet on the sheet support table as detected by the level sensor lowers by a predetermined value from the sheet feed-out level and stops the table drive mechanism when the level of the uppermost sheet on the sheet support table as detected by the level sensor reaches the sheet feed-out level.

Sheet supply system

A stencil printer includes a rotary printing drum around which the stencil master is wrapped, a main motor which rotates the printing drum, a press roller which is rotatable in parallel to the printing drum in contact with the printing drum, and a pair of opposed conveyor rollers which feed a printing paper between the printing drum and the press roller. A conveyor roller motor is provided separately from the main motor and drives the conveyor rollers. A printing drum rotation detector detects rotation of the printing drum on the basis of the reference position, and a conveyor roller rotation detector detects rotation of at least one of the conveyor rollers. A conveyor roller controller controls, when the leading end of the printing paper reaches vicinity of the contact line of the printing drum and the press roller, the conveyor roller motor to drive the conveyor rollers at a target rotating speed which is lower than the rotating speed of the printing drum detected by the printing drum rotation detector and is set so that the difference between the actual rotating speed of the conveyor roller detected by the conveyor roller rotation detector and the target rotating speed is kept substantially constant.

Stencil printer

There is disclosed a sheet distribution device in which by making various the modulus of elasticity of a stopper member and a sheet matching member, a stopper function at the time of discharging a sheet and a matching function at the time of matching the sheet are sufficiently fulfilled, respectively. The sheet discharge device is provided with a sheet position regulating member which abuts on a discharge tip end of a sheet 2 with an image formed thereon discharged from an image forming device 1 onto a distribution bin 4 to regulate a position of the sheet 2. The position regulating member is constituted of a stopper member 45 and a sheet matching member 40 which differ in modulus of elasticity from each other. At the time of discharging the sheet and at the time of matching the sheet, the stopper member 45 is moved relative to the sheet matching member 40 to advance or retreat in a sheet conveying direction.

Sheet discharge device

In a sheet sorting device for distributing sheets consecutively fed from an image forming device such as a copying machine to sorting trays aligned in multiple stages at high speed, there are disposed sheet pressure members for pressing down preceding sheet or sheets previously introduced into the designated sorting tray so as to successfully introduce the following sheet into the designated sorting tray without being hindered by the preceding sheet or sheets on the designated sorting tray. Since the following sheet is in no way hindered by the preceding sheet on the sorting tray in entering into the designated tray by means of the sheet pressure members, the interval between the adjoining sorting trays can be reduced thus to diminish the sorting device in size.

A sorter for sorting a printed sheet discharged from an image forming machine, comprises: a plurality of bins arranged in a vertical direction; a conveyer provided vertically along the plurality of bins to convey the printed sheet vertically downward; an indexer having a guide surface in its upper portion, being vertically movable along a sheet travel route of the conveyer, for peeling the printed sheet off the conveyer with the guide surface and sending the printed sheet in either one of the plurality of bins; a controller connecting to driving the conveyer and the indexer; and a operating panel connecting to the controller, wherein the operating panel receives a printing sheet information of the sheet to be printed and fed the information to the controller, and the controller determines a start position of a working bin out of the plurality of bins in response to the information from the control panel.

Sorter and image forming apparatus having the same

A sorter for sorting a printed sheet discharged from an image forming machine includes a plurality of bins arranged in a vertical direction; a conveyer provided vertically along the plurality of bins to convey the printed sheet vertically downward; an indexer having a guide surface in its upper portion, being vertically movable along a sheet travel route of the conveyer, for peeling the printed sheet off the conveyer with the guide surface and sending the printed sheet in either one of the plurality of bins; a controller connecting for driving the conveyer and the indexer; and an operating panel-connecting to the controller. The operating panel receives a printing sheet information of the sheet to be printed and feeds the information to the controller, and the controller determines a vertical distance between a bottom surface of an upstream-side end portion of the bin and a downstream-side end portion of the guide surface of the printed sheet guide means in response to the information from the operating panel.

Sorter having a controller which adjusts for different types of paper

A sorter for sorting a printed sheet discharged from an image forming machine has a controller for determining the appropriate air-suction force of a suction unit of a conveyer based on information sent from a control panel. A plurality of bins are arranged vertically and the conveyer is arranged vertically alongside the bins so that the printed sheet is conveyed downward. The conveyor has a belt and the suction unit for drawing the printed sheet to the belt and an indexer has a guide surface in its upper portion, which moves vertically along a sheet travel route of the conveyer, for peeling the printed sheet off the conveyer with the guide surface and sending the printed sheet into one of the bins. The controller is connected to the conveyer and the indexer and drives the conveyer and the indexer according to the information from the control panel. An operating panel also is connected to the controller and receives printing sheet information regarding the sheet to be printed and feeds this information to the controller.
