A lens barrel includes a lens mount, a fixed frame, and a movable frame. The lens mount includes an attachment part to which the fixed frame is attached, and a recessed part which is adjacent to the attachment part and is recessed toward the camera body, and into which an end part of the movable frame enters at least when the movable frame is positioned closest to the lens mount. Part of the attachment part close to the camera body has a tapered surface inclined relative to the optical axis. A counterbore in which a screw for attaching the fixed frame to the attachment part is disposed is formed at the tapered surface. Due to the tapered surface, part of the lens mount where the attachment part is formed has a thickness greater than that of another part of the lens mount where the recessed part is formed.

Lens barrel

A magnetic recording and reproduction apparatus includes an arm section pivotable about a pivoting shaft; a tape guide section provided on the arm section for guiding a magnetic tape; a capstan section for driving the magnetic tape so as to run; and a maintaining section provided on the capstan section. The arm section is pivotable between a first location and a second location. The first location is a location at which the information recording to and/or information reproduction from the magnetic tape is possible. The second location is a location at which the information recording to and/or information reproduction from the magnetic tape is not possible. When the arm section pivots from the second location to the first location, the maintaining section maintains a relative position of the arm section, which is in the first location, to the capstan section.

Magnetic recording and reproduction apparatus

A magnetic recording and reproduction apparatus includes a pivotable arm section; an arm pivoting center shaft for supporting the pivoting center of the arm section; a capstan section for driving a magnetic tape so as to run; a pinch roller provided on the arm section for pressing the magnetic tape to the capstan section; and an extendable and compressable section extendable so as to be wound around the arm pivoting center shaft in accordance with the pivoting of the arm section and compressable so as to retract from the arm pivoting center shaft in accordance with the pivoting of the arm section.

A magnetic recording and reproduction apparatus according to the present invention includes a cylinder for recording information to and/or reproducing information from a magnetic tape; a chassis section having a first chassis surface having the cylinder provided thereon and a second chassis surface substantially perpendicular to the first chassis surface; a capstan section for driving the magnetic tape so as to run, the capstan section being provided on the first chassis surface; and a securing section for securing the capstan section to the chassis section, the securing section being provided on the second chassis surface.

According to the present invention, a hollowed portion is formed on a lower bonded surface of a rotary drum to which a rotation-side rotary transformer is bonded, and a hollowed portion is formed on an upper bonded surface of the fixed drum to which a fixation-side rotary transformer is bonded. Thus, excessive adhesive is absorbed by the hollowed portions and adhesive layers do not have uneven thicknesses, thereby securing surface runout accuracies of the rotary transformers. Further, since an adhesive is applied to the outer peripheral side of the hollowed portion of the rotary drum, the adhesive does not flow into ball bearings located on the inner peripheral side.

A magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus according to the present invention includes: a fixed cylinder; a rotary cylinder rotatably supported by the fixed cylinder, the rotary cylinder including a disk-shaped magnet in which first areas having a first pole and second areas having a second pole opposite to the first pole are alternately arranged; and a head chip attached to the rotary cylinder, wherein the fixed cylinder has a stator coil for generating a magnetic force between the stator coil and the disk-shaped magnet, thereby rotating the rotary cylinder, and the head chip is placed on the rotary cylinder so that a phase angle .theta. between a virtual plane including a center of a head gap of the head chip and a rotation axis of the rotary cylinder and one of two polar boundary planes sandwiching the area where the virtual plane traverses satisfies 0.4.alpha..ltoreq..theta..ltoreq.0.6.alpha., where a central angle of the area is .alpha..

Magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus having an offset head chip

A magnetic tape recording and/or reproducing apparatus provided with a reversible motor, a rotary member rotated by the motor, an operating mode changer connected to the rotary member to change the operating mode of the apparatus, a tape loader movable in reciprocation between an inoperative position where a magnetic tape can be drawn out from a cassette and an operative position where the tape is drawn out and then wound onto a guide drum, a drive driven intermittently by the rotary member to cause the tape loader to reciprocate between the inoperative and operative positions, and a lock for holding the drive when the tape loader is brought to the operative position. The motor is connected to a housing including therein a speed-reduction device so that the motor output is taken from the peripheral side surface of the motor to drive the rotary member. Thus, the apparatus is highly reliable, small-sized, low in power consumption, and light in weight.

Magnetic tape recording and/or reproducing apparatus

A small-sized and low-power magnetic tape recording and/or reproducing apparatus. A first idler is press-contacted with a driving roller provided coaxially with a capstan shaft for transporting a magnetic tape at a constant speed, the pressing force of the first idler being changed so as to obtain a driving force caused by friction according to the pressing force. The driving force of the first idler is transmitted to a relay wheel via a timing belt mounted on the first idler and the relay wheel, and to a reel drive turntable by a reel transmission mechanism. The reel transmission mechanism has a selective transmission mechanism which transmits the rotation of the relay wheel to a rotating wheel juxtaposed with the reel drive turntable and then to the reel drive turntable either directly or indirectly via a torque limiter provided on the rotating wheel.
