Provided is an impression tray with which three-dimensional data is easily obtained, including an upper jaw impression tray and lower jaw impression tray, wherein the upper jaw impression tray includes an upper jaw impression tray main bodyincluding a surface where the impression material is to be placed; the lower jaw impression tray includes a lower jaw impression tray main body including a surface where the impression material is to be placed; a handle is attachably and detachably provided on at least either one of the upper jaw impression tray main body and lower jaw impression tray main body; and the handle, having a posture of attachment, projects from at least any one of a labial side, the upper jaw impression tray excepting the surface where the impression material is to be placed, and lower jaw impression tray excepting the surface where the impression material is to be placed.

A full denture base manufacturing method is provided that can easily manufacture a full denture base, using a set of maxillary impression tray and a mandibular impression tray for taking an impression from a patient including an edentulous patient. An impression material is applied on each of a maxillary impression trayand a mandibular impression trayconfiguring a set of impression trays, and respectively having a U-shaped groove, the U-shaped groove having a front surface side on which the impression material is to be applied and being provided with projecting partson a back surface side thereof, and the applied impression material is pressed against an alveolar ridge within an oral cavity and set, to determine bite position and height in a state in which at least a part of flat top surfaces of the projecting partscontact each other, the second impression material is applied between back surfaces of the impression traysand set in a state in which at least a part of the flat top surfaces contact each other, each of the impression traysand the impression material are removed from within the oral cavity in one piece of the maxillary and mandibular impression trays, or separately in two pieces of the maxillary and mandibular impression trays, and a model material is thereafter injected to each impression material on the removed maxillary and mandibular impression trays and set, in order to manufacture an edentulous jaw model, and the edentulous jaw model is set on an articulator in a state in which the bite position and height that are determined in advance are reflected, in order to manufacture a full denture base.

Full denture base manufacturing method

An impression tray set for edentulous jaw is formed by a maxillary impression tray and a mandibular impression tray respectively including a tray main body having a U-shaped groove on which an impression material is to be applied on a front surface thereof, an engaging part formed on a back surface of the U-shaped groove in a position corresponding to an alveolar ridge of front teeth, and a handle part detachably connected to the engaging part. Each of the maxillary and mandibular impression trays includes projecting parts provided on the back surface at portions corresponding to an alveolar ridge from a first molar part to a premolar part. The projecting parts determine bite position and height in a state in which at least a part of flat top surfaces of the projecting parts contact each other when taking an impression.

The invention provides a plastic impression tray for a local area having an outer wall provided in an outer side of a curve of a bottom portion, and an inner wall provided in an inner side of the curve of the bottom portion. A rim having a particular height is provided in the bottom portion side along each of upper ends of the outer wall and the inner wall, elongated through holes each reaching the bottom portion from a portion just below the rim are formed approximately at uniform distances in the outer wall and the inner wall, circular through holes each having a particular diameter are formed at particular positions in the bottom portion, and elongated end portion side through holes each having a particular width and a particular length are provided vertically to an axial direction of the bottom portion, in both ends of the bottom portion.

The invention provides a plastic impression tray for an upper jaw having a bottom portion provided with an outer wall and a bulge portion. A rim with a particular height is provided along each of upper ends of the outer wall and the inner wall, through holes with particular widths are provided with a particular relationship between the distance between the adjacent through holes and a width of the through hole, circular through holes with particular diameters are provided between the through holes in the bottom portion, and bottom portion through holes with particular widths and lengths are provided on a line connecting the bottom portion sides of the through holes which are positioned at the closest side to the end portion of the U-shaped portion in the end portion thereof, or in a closer side to the end portion than the line, respectively.

An indicator is useful for detecting pressure points on a denture. The indicator is made of a composition that easily adheres to oral mucosa, has a proper viscosity in an oral cavity environment, can be properly spread between an oral mucosa surface and a denture base, and easily specifies an affected part. The composition includes a fatty acid ester having a melting point of 30 to 50&#xb0; C., a water-soluble high polymer, and a metal oxide. Preferably, the fatty acid is 40 to 95% by weight of the composition, the water-soluble high polymer is 1 to 59% by weight of the composition, and the metal oxide is 0.1 to 50% by weight of the composition.

To provide a dental hydraulic temporary sealing material composition setting faster than conventional composition, excellent adhesiveness with cavity, and extremely good operativity of filling in an oral cavity, the dental hydraulic temporary sealing material composition includes calcium sulfate, a vinyl acetate resin, an inorganic filler, alcohols having a boiling point of 110&#xb0; C. or more, and a nonionic surfactant, whereby water on a cavity can adhere, without being repelled, to a paste surface due to hydrophilic effect between an organic solvent having proper hydrophilicity and the nonionic surfactant, the water can permeate and diffuse rapidly and stably through the inside of the paste by the hydrophilic effect so as to set faster than conventional composition, and since the hydrophilic effect is effective for adhesiveness with cavity, filling property in an oral cavity becomes extremely good.
