Provided is an information processing device that generates a visitor traffic line without having to collect information about the traffic of visitors. An information processing device includes a map information acquisition unit that acquires map information, a destination acquisition unit that acquires a destination, a route retrieval unit that retrieves a shortest route from a location on a road to the destination on a basis of road information included in the map information, and a visitor traffic line generation unit that generates a visitor traffic line from the shortest route retrieved by the route retrieval unit. The location of each road is a location remote from the destination by predetermined distance. In particular, the location is a location on at least one circle around the destination.

A translucent cover (,) is so provided as to cover a high pressure sodium lamp (,) adapted to radiate at least visible light and rays of light in the wavelength range of 300 nm to 400 nm. A photocatalytic film (,) which is capable of preventing generation of interference between visible light is formed on either one of or both the inner side and outer side of the translucent cover (,). The photocatalytic film (,) contains as the principal component titania (TiO,) of which the peak wavelength for visible light transmittance is nearly the same as the peak wavelength for visible light radiated from the high pressure sodium lamp (,). Ultraviolet light radiated from the high pressure sodium lamp (,) enhances oxidation and decomposition of substances performed by the photocatalytic film (,), thereby preventing grime and contaminants from adhering to the translucent cover (,). Even if the thickness of the photocatalytic film (,) is increased in order to make the photocatalytic function more effective, visible light radiated from the high pressure sodium lamp (,) effectively passes through the photocatalytic film (13) at the peak wavelength so that decrease in the illuminating efficiency is prevented.

An incandescent lamp has an envelope including a cylindrical portion and two hemispherical portions. Each hemispherical portion includes a second order curve which has a focus and is connected at one end of the cylindrical portion, respectively. A filament is provided along the central axis of the envelope and is located within and extends beyond a space surrounded by the cylindrical portion. An optical interference layer is arranged on a surface of the envelope to reflect infrared rays and transmit visible rays.

An underwater low-frequency sound producer comprises vibrator units each including a magnetostrictive rod formed of a rare-earth alloy, a permanent magnet for providing a magnetic bias to the rod, prestress bolts for prestressing the rod, a coil wound on the rod for causing magnetostriction of the rod corresponding to an input AC signal applied to the coil, and first and second masses on opposite ends of the rod. The vibrator units are arranged seriatim end-to-end to define a polygon or ring centered on an axis. Connection blocks respectively connect the first and second masses of the vibrator units adjacent to each other. Vibration plates are respectively attached to the connection members. Outer and inner cylindrical boots and upper and lower plates define an annular space in which the vibrator units are disposed. The annular space is filled with oil having an acoustic impedance similar to that of the water in which the sound producer is placed for use.

An improvement in an apparatus for continuous biological treatment of waste water including a reactor having a feeding pipe and a distribution pipe at the top thereof for introducing waste water into the reactor, and a withdrawing pipe at the bottom thereof for removing treated water, and a particulate carrier having microbes attached thereto disposed within the reactor. The carrier is a particulate material having an apparent specific gravity smaller than the specific gravity of water, making it possible for the particulate material to float on water. A substantially fluidized bed of the carrier is formed by the buoyancy of the particulate material in the downflowing waste water to be treated.

Apparatus for biological treatment of waste water in downflow operation

This invention relates to biological treatment of waste water using a carrier floatable on water, and more particularly to a novel process for treatment of waste water utilizing a fluidized bed which is formed by supplying waste water in a downflow operation. The process for treatment of waste water of this invention is applicable to both anaerobic and aerobic biological treatment. A good example of the former anaerobic biological treatment to which this invention is applicable is the process wherein the nitrate or nitrite nitrogen which is one of the nitrogen compounds that are at present believed to be one cause of the eutrophication in rivers, lakes, seas, etc. is treated with denitrifying bacteria in an anaerobic condition to be released in the form of nitrogen gas, and the typical of the latter aerobic treatment is the practice in the utilization of the action of the aerobic bacteria which can oxidize organic substances in sewage, industrial waste waters, etc.
