A copy system includes a combination of a tablet and an input pen for inputting copy condition information such as a control condition and an editing condition, and a copying machine for forming a copy image in accordance with a copy condition information as inputted. An IC card insertion portions are respectively formed on the tablets and the copying machine. When the control condition, for example, a copy quantity and a copy magnification, and the editing condition, for example, an editing function and a positional data are inputted by the input pen and the tablet in the state where the IC card is loaded to the tablet, the inputted copy condition information is stored in the IC card. Thereafter, the IC card is unloaded from the tablet and inserted to the copying machine. The copy condition information is led from the inserted IC card to the copying machine. Upon an operation of a start key, a copy image of an original put on an original table is formed in accordance with the copy condition information read out from the IC card.

Copy system

An apparatus for inputting image forming condition includes a combination of a tablet and an input pen. An IC card insertion portion is formed on the tablet. In the state that an IC card is loaded to the tablet, when a control condition, for example, a copy quantity and copy magnification and/or an editing condition, for example, editing function and positional data are inputted by operating the tablet by means of the input pen, the inputted image forming condition is stored into the IC card. Thereafter, by unloading the IC card from the tablet and loading the same into a copying machine, a copying image of an original is formed by the copying machine in accordance with the image forming condition read out from the IC card.

Apparatus for inputting image forming condition

A paper feeding stand on which a recording apparatus such as a copying machine is mounted and which contains paper for recording and feeds the paper to the recording apparatus through intermediate rollers provided at the position opposing the paper entry of the recording apparatus according to the rotation of the intermediate rollers. When paper jam occurs between the intermediate rollers and the recording apparatus, the intermediate rollers are rotated in the reversal direction to return the paper to the intermediate roller section, and then the intermediate rollers are moved in the direction intersecting at right angles with the axial direction thereof to expose the intermediate rollers and the jammed paper to the outside so that the paper can be removed easily and surely without tearing.

Paper feeding stand

An image forming apparatus includes an intermediate tray wherein a copied paper on which an image has been formed is stored. In the case of a double-face copy, the copied paper is stored in the intermediate tray in a manner that a surface on which an image has been formed is faced upward and, in the case of a multi-copy, the copied paper is stored in the intermediate tray in a manner that a surface on which an image has been formed is faced downward. The intermediate tray has two movable guide members which sandwiches the copied paper stored in the intermediate tray in a width direction thereof. The movable guide members are moved so as to go and come back once at every timing when a sheet of copied paper is stored in the intermediate tray, whereby both side ends of the copied paper are pushed by the movable guide members to be aligned. The movable guide members are returned to respective home positions at every timing when ten copied papers are stored in the intermediate tray, whereby an accumulative error of the movement of the movable guide members can be corrected. In addition, a center position between the two movable guide members can be electrically corrected by moving respective reference positions of the movable guide members in the same direction at the same amount.

Image forming apparatus having intermediate tray

An apparatus for inputting image forming condition includes a display having item displaying portion in which a plurality of items of image forming condition for controlling image forming process are respectively displayed for each item and cursor displaying portion in which a plurality of cursors are formed so as to correspond to the respective items. A desired one of a plurality of cursors included in the cursor displaying portion is selectively displayed by a cursor key. When a given item is designated by the cursor key and a change key is operated in that state, content of that item is changed for every operations of the change key. The content lastly changed is inputted as image forming condition of that item.

A developing apparatus comprises a container in which a developer composed of a mixture of carrier and toner is stored and a screw conveyor for transferring and stirring the developer is disposed. The screw conveyor has a stirring blade formed in a spiral shape, and the stirring blade is cut out at nearly the center of the screw conveyor so that stagnation of the developer takes place at that interrupted portion thereof. A level sensor is disposed so as to be able to detect the level of the developer at that interrupted portion. In the interrupted portion, since stagnation of the developer takes place, pulsation of the developer produced in the case of the screw conveyor having a continuous stirring blade is suppressed, and thereby a level of the developer can be detected more accurately. This means that when toner density is increased, fluidity of the developer is reduced, and in the interrupted portion, the level of the developer rises by an amount larger than an increment of volume of the developer due to a relative increase in toner to carrier. In reverse, when the toner density is reduced, the fluidity of the developer is increased, and in the interrupted portion, the level of the developer falls by an amount larger than a decrement of volume of the developer due to a relative decrease in toner to carrier.

Developing apparatus

A sheet member feeding cassette comprises a main unit wherein sheet members are stored in a stacked manner. A longitudinal hole extending in the direction of feeding sheet member is formed on a supporting plate installed above a bottom plate of the main body, and a pin extending from the bottom plate is inserted into this longitudinal hole so as to be movable along this hole. A bent slit is formed on the long lever supported rotatably by a shaft between the bottom plate and the supporting plate, and the pin is inserted through this slit. By moving a contact plate fixed to the top of the pin along the longitudinal slit, the lever is pushed by the pin, being rotated. A piece to be detected installed outside the main unit and also an indicator panel are fixed to a wire fixed to the free end of the lever. When the position of the contact plate is changed the position of the piece to be detected is changed and also the position of the indicator panel is changed. Thereby, a detecting switch detects the position of the piece to be detected and a signal responding to the position of the contact plate, that is the length of the sheet member is outputted, and the size thereof is indicated visually through a window by the indicator panel.

Sheet member feeding cassette

An apparatus for scanning an original comprises a guide bar extending in the direction of scanning an original, and a first carriage and a second carriage are mounted on this guide bar so as to be slidable along the guide bar, respectively. A first movable mirror for reflecting an image of the original is supported on the first carriage and a second movable mirror for reflecting again the image of the original reflected by the first movable mirror is supported on the second carriage, respectively. A zoom lens whose conjugate length is always constant is installed between the second movable mirror and a fixed mirror. The second carriage extends long in the direction of extension of the guide bar, and pulleys are mounted on both ends thereof. A wire is set round the two pulleys, and both ends of the wire are hooked by holders fixed a base body, also being fixed to the first carriage. A timing belt is set round a rotary shaft of a motor and an idler, and a part of the timing belt is fixed to the first carriage. When the motor is rotated, the first carriage moves and also the second carriage moves in the same direction at a speed of 1/2 of that of the first carriage.

Apparatus for scanning an original

An electrophotographic copying apparatus of the present invention is capable of copying a reduced original and forms an electro-static latent image of the reduced original image on a uniformly electrified photosensitive member so that the electrostatic latent image is sensible-imaged as a toner image and the toner image is transferred onto copying paper. In such operation, this apparatus can change corresponding to reduction rate the irradiation area of a side erase lamp for erasing unnecessary charge at both axial edge portions of photosensitive member, thereby enabling complete removal of unnecessary electrified portions on the photosensitive member which appear inevitably when the reduced copying is carried out, and reliable prevention of attaching of unnecessary toner to the photosensitive member.

Electrophotographic copying apparatus

An electric fan which can be disassembled into a base portion and a casing integral with a fan main body or assembled into one unit in an efficient manner through provision of a longitudinal recess in the base portion and engaging portions between the recess and casing. The casing is further provided with a power cord compartment with an improved cover plate arrangement for compactly accommodating the power cord when not in use.
