A vehicle body frame includes a head section that rotatably supports a steering shaft, and main frames extending from the head section toward a rear side of a vehicle body. A cross section of the main frame in a direction crossing a vehicle body forward/rearward direction is formed in a substantially rectangular shape having a vertical width larger than a lateral width. A carbon fiber reinforced resin in which carbon fibers are oriented uniformly in the vehicle body forward/rearward direction is installed on at least one of upper surfaces and lower surfaces of the main frames.

Vehicle body frame structure for saddle riding vehicle

In an inverted pendulum type vehicle no excessive load is exerted on a sub-wheel even in the case where some downward load is exerted on a sub-wheel arm. The inverted pendulum type vehicle includes a main wheel capable of moving forward, rearward, to the left and to the right with a vehicle body frame supported by the main wheel. The inverted pendulum type vehicle further includes the sub-wheel arm turnably supported on the vehicle body frame with the sub-wheel being supported by the sub-wheel arm and being grounded. The sub-wheel is supported through a deformable biasing device, and is biased into a predetermined position in relation to the sub-wheel arm. When a downward load is exerted on the sub-wheel arm, the biasing device deforms, whereby at least part of the sub-wheel arm is grounded.

Inverted pendulum type vehicle

An inverted pendulum control type moving body is provided with: a first driving portion that moves a host moving body at least in a forward/backward direction; a supporting portion that supports the inverted pendulum control type moving body so that it stands independently in a state of being in contact with the ground; an operation portion that switches between the ground contact state and a ground separation state of the supporting portion; and a control portion that, when the operation portion switches the state of the supporting portion from the ground contact state to the ground separation state, controls operation of the first driving portion so that a forward/backward direction tilt angle of the inverted pendulum control type moving body approximates a target tilt angle in the ground contact state.

Inverted pendulum control type moving body

A straddled vehicle is equipped with a charging port structure in which a charging port is fixedly disposed within a recess provided in a wall member. A base end part of a cover member capable of closing the charging port is pivotably supported at a position adjacent to the charging port, and a lid is capable of closing the recess so as to cover the cover member from the outside is pivotably supported on the wall member. A retaining member retains a closed state of the lid in response to the lid being closed. A releasing member is operable so as to release the retention of the closed state of the lid by the retaining member. A coupling member is operable in association with the operation of the retaining member when closing the lid, and pivots the cover member toward the closing side.

Charging port structure and straddled vehicle

Provided are a battery charger, which is a different body from a vehicle and the durability, performance, etc., of which are maintained, and a battery charger attaching structure. The battery charger attaching structure comprises: a battery; a battery charger being a different body from a vehicle and charging the battery; an electric motor for generating driving force on the basis of the power supplied from the battery; vehicle covers for covering the vehicle; and an attachment portion provided on the vehicle covers and used for attaching the battery charger on the side of the vehicle. The attachment portion is provided at an upper part on a leg shield.

An inverted pendulum control type moving body includes: a first driving portion capable of driving in all directions on a movement plane; a frame portion rotatably supporting the first driving portion; a second driving portion rotatable about the rotation center of the first driving portion via a link portion; a first restriction portion restricting rotation of the link portion in a first direction about the rotation center; a second restriction portion restricting rotation of the link portion in a second direction about the rotation center; and a supporting portion supporting the frame portion in an uncontrolled state. An operation portion operates: a first operation which separates the supporting portion from the movement plane and increases a distance between the first and second restriction portions; and a second operation which brings the supporting portion into contact with the movement plane and reduces the distance between the first and second restriction portions.

Provided is an electric vehicle that realizes a light electric straddled vehicle using a motor with a small size, and optimizes the left and right weight balances in the width direction of the vehicle with respect to the vehicle body centerline. The electric motor () is disposed inside a swing arm () of a cantilever type at a position overlapping a projection area of a rear wheel WR when seen from the side portion of the vehicle body. The motor driver () is disposed inside the swing arm () so that the vehicle body centerline (C) passing through at the front side of the vehicle body in the rear wheel (WR). The position (G) of the center of gravity of the motor driver () is disposed to be offset in the direction opposite to the offset direction of the electric motor () with respect to the vehicle body centerline (C).

Electric straddled vehicle

To provide a marine drive shaft-bearing structure capable of simply filling grease without an effort and at a reduced cost. A marine drive shaft-bearing structure includes a bearing body disposed between an engine and an impeller for propulsion. Front and rear bearing members are received in a bearing chamber within the bearing body so as to rotatably support a drive shaft which connects the engine with the impeller. A grease filling portion is adapted to fill grease into the bearing chamber. The grease filling portion includes a grease filling port formed in the bearing body so as to communicate with the bearing chamber and a grease tank for storing the grease and for being detachably attached to the grease filling port.

Marine drive shaft-bearing structure

An electric two/three-wheeled vehicle includes: a battery case which houses a battery supplying electric power to an electric motor; a leg shield which covers, from a front, legs of a rider sitting on a riding seat; a cooling air inlet duct which has a downstream end portion thereof connected to the battery case; and a cooling fan which introduces cooling air into the battery case through the cooling air inlet duct. In the electric two/three-wheeled vehicle, an opening () open toward a rear of the vehicle is provided in the leg shield (), and an upstream end of the cooling air inlet duct () is connected to the leg shield () in such a manner as to continue to the opening (). Accordingly, it is possible to cool a battery while preventing entry of dust into a battery case as much as possible.

Electric two/three-wheeled vehicle

An article storing structure for a small boat capable of easily carrying out the opening operation of a lid without spending time and effort and capable of easily taking luggage in and out. The article storing structure includes an article storing box for storing luggage in the hull and a lid covering an opening of the article storing box from above. The article storing structure includes left and right hinges provided at the left and right sides of the lid, respectively, for supporting the lid so as to be freely opened and closed and left and right lock members provided at the left and right sides of the lid, respectively, and capable of releasing the left and right hinges in the engaged condition, respectively. By releasing one of the left and right hinges in the engaged condition by the lock member, the lid can be opened and closed laterally.

Article storing structure for small boat

A steering unit for a small watercraft, which can positively prevent jolting of a steering shaft relative to a bearing section for allowing smooth rotation of the steering shaft, and makes for improving the installing characteristic of the steering shaft and a collar into the bearing section. A steering shaft is rotatably supported with respect to a watercraft body through a cylindrical bearing section in which the steering shaft is inserted. A plurality of ribs are provided around an inner surface of the cylindrical bearing section and extend in an axial direction of the steering shaft. The steering shaft is rotatably supported by the bearing section with a collar, formed from an elastic material, being provided interposedly between the ribs and an outer surface of the steering shaft. The cylindrical bearing section includes at least three or more ribs are provided.

Steering unit for small watercraft

To provide a small watercraft capable of suppressing vibration and noise of a vessel body, a jet pump is mounted to a hull via a thrust plate. A dynamic damper is disposed as an adjunct at a plate mounting portion that attaches the thrust plate to the hull. More specifically, the thrust plate is first mounted to the hull. Then, with a flange portion of the jet pump pressed up against a rear surface of the thrust plate, a second bolt is screwed in toward the thrust plate from an outward side of the hull. The jet pump is thereby attached to the rear surface of the thrust plate.

Small watercraft capable of suppressing vibration and noise of the vessel body

A drive shaft supporting structure for a small boat is provided which permits simplification of a hull and for which manufacturing productivity is increased. The drive shaft supporting structure includes a shaft-supporting member for rotatably supporting a drive shaft inside of a hull, and an elongate cylindrical sleeve. The cylindrical sleeve is arranged between the shaft-supporting member and a hull opening which permits penetration of the drive shaft through the hull. The drive shaft supporting structure is configured in such a manner that a front end portion of the cylindrical sleeve is connected to the shaft-supporting member and a rear end portion of the cylindrical sleeve is connected to the hull opening.

A trim adjusting device for a surface boat is provided that includes a nozzle for projecting jet water rearward arranged rearwardly of a jet propeller arranged in a boat body; a nozzle drive mechanism connected to the nozzle for operating the nozzle upward or downward; and an operating means arranged on a handle being connected to the nozzle drive mechanism. The nozzle drive mechanism includes a lever member connected to a trim operation lever of the operating means, a cam member provided with an engaging portion that engages the lever member arranged so as to be capable of rotating freely, a reverse rotation preventing claw member that engages the engaging portion, a link member that comes into abutment with the cam member at one end thereof, and the nozzle connected to the other end of the link member.

Trim adjusting device for small surface boat

A cable supporting structure for facilitating the operation of mounting a cable to a boat. The cable includes a cable inner, a cable outer for surrounding the cable inner, and a stepped portion provided on the cable outer. The cable supporting structure includes a bracket mounted to the boat and having a U-shaped groove for storing the cable outer. The U-shaped groove of the bracket extends horizontally or obliquely downward toward the inner side. A holder including U-shaped grooves that fit the stepped portions of the cable for clamping the cable outer is mounted to the bracket.
