A modularized externally-driven joint structure that can be used for general purposes. In one aspect, an externally-driven joint structure includes: a shaft member that extends in an axial direction; and a plurality of rotatable members that are arranged along the axial direction, and are coupled with each other by the shaft member in an axially rotatable manner. Each of the rotatable members includes a pair of face portions that face each other in the axial direction, a side wall portion that is arranged along the outer circumferential edges of the pair of face portions, and at least one coupling portion that is arranged at the face portions or the side wall portion, and is coupled with a link member constituting a link of a robot.

An environmental condition storage device is usable to store an environmental condition. The environmental condition storage device includes an environmental condition acquisition unit, a tactile information acquisition unit, and a storage unite. The tactile information acquisition unit acquires tactile information indicating a tactile sensation. It is an object of the present invention to prevent inattentive listening to a dialogue of an agent without taking it seriously and to make it easier to understand the dialogue with the agent. A dialogue systemconducts a dialogue with a user. A humanoid robot-presents a leap-in-logic utterance, which is an utterance, of which a logical structure is partially missing. The userexpresses a confirmation action which is an action confirming the missing information in the leap-in-logic utterance. The humanoid robot-presents a supplementary utterance which is an utterance describing the missing information.

A cluster classification device includes an environmental condition acquisition unit, a classification unit, and a storage unit. The environmental condition acquisition unit acquires an environmental condition in order to generate a specific environment in a target space. The classification unit generates a cluster from a plurality of environmental conditions acquired by the environmental condition acquisition unit, based on features of the environmental conditions. The storage unit stores the cluster and a feature of the cluster in association with each other. An environment generation device generates, using an environmental condition classified by the cluster classification device, a predetermined environment in the target space. A dialogue control partperforms control to execute a dialogue at least including a first dialogue flow which is a dialogue including the utterance receiving step and the first presentation step at least one time respectively based on a predetermined scenario, and a second dialogue flow which is a dialogue including the utterance receiving step and the second presentation step at least one time respectively.

It is an object of the present invention to induce a dialogue to a topic that a dialogue system tries to present. A dialogue systempresents a first utterance which is a certain utterance and a target utterance related to the first utterance to a user. A humanoid robot-presents the first utterance. A microphone-receives a user utterance of the userafter the first utterance. A humanoid robot-presents at least one topic-inducing utterance for inducing the topic to the target utterance based on a recognition result of the user utterance and an utterance sentence of the target utterance after the user utterance. The humanoid robot-presents the target utterance after the topic-inducing utterance.

The present invention provides a dialog system comprising a speech receiving step in which the dialog system receives input of a speech of a human, a first speech determination step in which the dialog system determines a first speech which is a speech in response to the speech of the human, a first speech presentation step in which the first speech is presented by a first agent, a reaction acquisition step in which the dialog system acquires a reaction of the human to the first speech, a second speech determination step in which the dialog system determines, when the reaction of the human is a reaction indicating that the first speech is not a speech in response to the speech of the human, a second speech which is different from the first speech, and a second speech presentation step in which the second speech is presented by the second agent.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a dialog technique that can reduce a user's uncomfortable feeling.
