A measurement apparatus includes a plurality of modules and a main unit for collecting measurement data output from the modules. The housing of the main unit can be carried by a user of the measurement apparatus, and the plurality of modules are removably accommodated in the housing. A controller area network interface circuit of the main unit collects the measurement data output from the modules accommodated in the housing. A main CPU of the main unit outputs the collected measurement data to, for example, a personal computer connected to the main unit. An internal memory and a USB memory connected to a USB memory module store the collected measurement data.

A sensor control device for connection to an oxygen sensor including a sensing element that measures oxygen concentration in an intake atmosphere of an internal combustion engine and a heater that heats the sensing element, including a detection unit that detects an output signal corresponding to the oxygen concentration output from the sensing element and a calculation unit that calculates a compensation coefficient of the output signal that is used when calculating the oxygen concentration. The calculation unit collects compensation information used in calculating the compensation coefficient when the internal combustion engine is in operation and in a specific operation state in which the oxygen concentration in the intake atmosphere is subject to estimation. Also disclosed is a sensor control system which includes an oxygen sensor and the sensor control device.

The present invention provides an ignition timing control device and ignition timing control system for an internal combustion engine, capable of controlling an ignition timing of the engine promptly in response to a change in engine operating conditions. An ignition timing adjustment unit () is adapted to correct the ignition timing to a proper ignition timing in a retard region with reference to a maximum advance value based on a knocking signal outputted from a knocking detection unit () and a reference ignition signal (A) outputted from an external electronic control unit (). The output signal from the ignition timing adjustment unit () can be thus promptly adjusted by retarding the ignition timing relative to a reference ignition timing given from the external electronic control unit () upon detection of engine knocking.

Gas sensor

In an oxygen sensor control apparatus, a CPU obtains a correction coefficient for calibrating the relation between output value of an oxygen sensor and oxygen concentration when a fuel cut operation is performed. When the amount of scavenging air (total supply amount of air) becomes equal to or greater than a predetermined amount in each fuel cut period, the CPU calculates an average output value Ipav from a plurality of output values (concentration corresponding values) Ipr of the oxygen sensor, from which values deviating from a predetermined range Rhave been removed. Subsequently, the CPU averages the values obtained in a plurality of fuel cut periods to thereby obtain a plural-time average output value Ipavf. The CPU obtains a correction coefficient for correcting the actual output value Ip of the oxygen sensoron the basis of the Ipavf value and a previously set reference output value.

Oxygen sensor control apparatus

[Objective] An object is to provide a sensor control apparatus and a sensor-control-apparatus control method which can reduce variation in startup time among a plurality of times of execution of detection processing, in consideration of variation in output characteristic among a plurality of gas sensors. [Means for Solution] In a sensor control apparatus, before drive control (Sto S) is started, preliminary control is executed so as to supply a constant current to a second oxygen pump cell over a constant time, to thereby control to a constant level the amount of oxygen pumped from a second measurement chamber to the outside of the second measurement chamber (Sto). The preliminary control is executed under control conditions of the sensor control apparatus which are determined for each gas sensor and are associated with the amount of oxygen pumped from the second measurement chamber to the outside thereof. The control conditions bring into a target range the concentration correspondence value calculated after start of the drive control which is started after the preliminary control is executed in a state in which a reference gas having a known concentration is introduced into the gas sensor.

A sensor control apparatus includes: a gas sensor including an oxygen concentration detection cell having a first solid electrolyte body, a reference electrode and a detection electrode, and a heater; an electric current supply unit that supplies electric current to the oxygen concentration detecting cell; an activation determination unit; a heater control unit that sets a first target temperature equal to or higher than an activation determination temperature when the activation determination unit determines that the temperature of the gas sensor is equal to or higher than the activation determination temperature; an automatic stop detection unit; and a first temperature switching unit that controls electric current supplied to the heater such that the target temperature of the heater is switched to a second target temperature different from a temperature at which blackening is generated in the first solid electrolyte body when an automatic stop is detected.
