A sterilizing apparatus installed on a car includes a nozzle-installing pipe on which a plurality of nozzles are mounted at regular intervals, a driving mechanism for varying the spray angles of the nozzles, a driving mechanism for controlling the spray time periods, a supply mechanism for supplying disinfectant to a disinfectant-flowing path equipped in the nozzle-installing pipe, a plurality of tanks containing disinfectant to be supplied to the supply mechanisms and control mechanisms for controlling the operation of the driving mechanisms. The car is moved to a required place in a hospital, and the nozzles are operated by spray disinfectant particles, the diameter of which are 10 .mu.m or less.

Automatic sterilizing apparatus

A two-fluid nozzle, constituted by a gas inlet and a liquid inlet; a first mixing chamber having a gas feed element connected to the gas inlet for feeding a gas along an axial center line in a direction toward a discharge end of the nozzle and having a liquid feed element for feeding a liquid into the outer periphery of the gas at the downstream end of the gas inlet; a substantially uniform diameter rectifying chamber opening out of the first mixing chamber and extending along the axial center line toward the discharge end for receiving the mixture of gas and liquid and conveying it therealong; a second mixing chamber having a larger diameter than the rectifying chamber and into which the downstream end of the rectifying chamber opens, the second mixing chamber having a wall face at the downstream end thereof spaced from and opposed to the downstream end of the rectifying chamber and against which the outer peripheral portion of the mixture of gas and liquid discharged into the second mixing chamber from the rectifying chamber collides; and a nozzle tip on the downstream end of the second mixing chamber having a discharge opening at a discharge end thereof and a jetting chamber extending along the axial center line from the second mixing chamber to the discharge opening, the nozzle tip having an end face portion in which the discharge opening is located having a hemispherical shape and a cylindrical peripheral wall around the base of the hemisphere, the discharge opening being a uniform width slit extending across the hemispherical shape end face portion and into the cylindrical peripheral wall in a diametrically extending plane, the ends of the slit having a circular arc or a V-shape.

Two-fluid nozzle

An atomizer nozzle assembly for producing an extrafine mist of liquid includes a nozzle assembly, with a liquid passage hole of each nozzle tip of the assembly extending along a longitudinal axis of the nozzle tip. A front end opening of each liquid passage hole is centrally formed in the front end face of each nozzle tip. The angle of taper of a front tapered portion of each nozzle tip is 16.degree.-24.degree.. With the above arrangement, it is possible to produce a substantially ultrafine mist when the atomizing operation is started and it is also to produce an ultrafine mist having a constant particle diameter during a rise in the initial pressure of compressed air immediately following the start of atomization.

Atomizer nozzle assembly

An atomizing nozzle comprises at least two nozzle heads arranged in particular relation to each other. Each of the nozzle heads has a discharge port through which a simple jet of liquid drops are jetted. These nozzle heads are so arranged that the respective longitudinal axes of these nozzle heads intersect at a predetermined angle with each other while each of the discharge ports is spaced a predetermined distance from the point of intersection of these longitudinal axes.
