A saddle type deflection coil assembly is formed of a plurality of conductor wires which are not displaced and biassed. A resulted multicore parallel conductor wire is thus not twisted. The deflection coil assembly includes an external coil constructed by winding the plurality of parallel conductor wires in a laminated manner in a continuous groove of a first winding mold. An internal coil is constructed by winding a plurality of parallel conductor wires in a laminated manner in a continuous groove formed in a second winding mold. The internal coil is superimposed on the external coil to form a saddle configuration. A starting end of the external coil and a terminating end of the internal coil are interconnected with each other to form the deflection coil.

Saddle type deflection coil

A deflection coil is formed into a saddle shape by winding up a conductive wire ribbon in layers, such that the layered wire ribbon is formed in its cross-section into a parallelogram with adjoining sides crossing one another at other than 90 degrees. The deflection coil is produced by winding up in layers the wire ribbon in a plurality of coil grooves of a coil-winding frame die while the wire ribbon is delivered out from a nozzle, obliquely against the side wall face of each coil groove.

Deflection coil and fabrication method thereof

A coil-winding frame body for deflection yoke coil, includes: a straight portion formed as a neck side; a trumpet-shaped curved surface portion spreading outward from the end of the straight portion toward a head side; and a plurality of flanges formed on the inner face of the body for defining a plurality of coil-winding grooves and walls, and each of the grooves is elongated from the neck side to the head side and into which a wire ribbon will be wound in layers. In the thus constructed coil-winding frame body, at least one of the plurality of coil-winding grooves includes a main groove in the straight portion which in turn is divided in the curved surface portion into a plurality of branch grooves, and the plurality of branch grooves are arranged such that an extended line from an inner side wall of each the branch groove converges at a common end point on the straight portion of an inner side wall of the main groove, whereas an extended line from an outer side wall of each of the branch grooves converges at a common end point on the straight portion of an outer side wall of the main groove.

Frame body for use in winding a coil for deflection yoke

A wire ribbon has a plurality of insulator-coated conductive wires, each having an insulating layer formed on a surface of a conductive wire. The insulator-coated conductive wires are arranged parallel in a row to be adjacent to each other. The adjacent insulator-coated conductive wires are bonded to each other through interconnection adhesive layers so as to be integrated. A thermoplastic adhesive interlayer having an adhesion temperature lower than that of the interconnection adhesive layer is formed in a local circumferential region on an apex of each single-core wire on at least one of upper and lower surface sides of the wire ribbon.

Wire ribbon

A DC--DC converter wherein, a DC power supply, a coil, and a main switch are connected in parallel, a resonant capacitor is connected in parallel with the main switch, a rectifier is connected to the coil for DC output to be provided from both ends of the coil, and a control switch is connected in parallel with the coil for allowing current due to energy accumulated in the coil to flow when the main switch is OFF.

DC--DC converter

A protection circuit against an excessive current in a flyback transformer which supplies a high voltage to a CRT. A fuse and current detecting resistor are inserted on the line which supplies a current to the primary winding of the flyback transformer. The intermediate point of the primary winding and the node of the fuse and current detecting resistor are connected by a semiconductor switching element which becomes conductive when the voltage across the current detecting resistor reaches a certain high voltage. Accordingly, if an excessive current flows in the flyback transformer, the thyristor turns on, causing the fuse to be blown by the large current, whereby the current supply to the flyback transformer can be shut off.

High-voltage transformer protection circuit

The high voltage generating apparatus includes a flyback transformer to be employed in television equipment and has a circuit for stabilizing a high voltage output. This circuit comprises an additive voltage generating coil, a reference voltage generating circuit, a voltage detector, a comparison amplifier, a switching circuit and a voltage multiplying rectifier circuit. The reference voltage generating circuit generates an inclined voltage in the flyback time of the horizontal deflection cycle and the voltage detector detects a mode of the high voltage output. The comparison amplifier compares an inclined voltage and a detection voltage and generates a control signal. The switching circuit operates with the control signal. With this operation, an additive voltage generated by the additive voltage generating coil is supplied to the high voltage coil of the flyback transformer through the voltage multiplying rectifier circuit. The voltage to be supplied compensates the voltage fall if the high voltage output and accordingly the high voltage output is stabilized.

High voltage generating apparatus for television equipment

A high voltage generating apparatus for supplying a high voltage to a cathode-ray tube is provided with a flyback transformer which has a low voltage coil and a high voltage coil. A first circuit detects a quantity of current which flows in the low voltage coil, and a second circuit detects a quantity of current which flows in the high voltage coil. A thyristor turns on when the quantity of current of the first circuit becomes larger than that of the second circuit to fusing-disconnect a fuse connected to a power supplying circuit, thus stopping the operation of the flyback transformer.

High voltage generating apparatus for supplying high voltage to cathode

High voltage generators are generally arranged to step up flyback pulses from a horizontal deflection circuit by means of a flyback transformer consisting of a primary low voltage coil and a secondary high voltage coil, rectifying the high voltage output through a rectification circuit for application to the anode of a cathode-ray tube. However, such a flyback transformer construction has an inherent drawback that the voltage of the high voltage output is varied by variations in the high voltage output current due to leakage inductance, resulting in load fluctuations. To overcome this problem, the high voltage generator is provided with a tertiary coil for generating an output voltage corresponding to 1/n of the maximum variation of the load fluctuations, a summing control circuit for controlling the rate of the high voltage output to be additively supplied to the secondary coil from the tertiary coil on the basis of a variation detection signal from a high voltage, variation detector circuit which serves to detect the load fluctuations, and a multiplying circuit for multiplying the voltage received from the summing control circuit by n-times for supply to the low voltage end of the secondary coil, thereby stabilizing the voltage of the high voltage output substantially at a constant level irrespective of the variations in the high voltage output current.
