A mining riser pipe is extended from above water toward a water bottom containing water bottom resources, and a lower portion of an insertion pipe connected to a lower portion of the mining riser pipe is inserted into the water bottom. A liquid is supplied into the insertion pipe and a rotation shaft extends axially inside both of pipes is rotated to rotate stirring blades attached to a lower portion of the rotation shaft inside the insertion pipe, thereby drilling and dissolving mud S inside the insertion pipe into a slurry form by is raised to an upper portion of the insertion pipe by a stirring flow generated by the rotation of the stirring blades, and the raised mud is lifted above the water through the mining riser pipe by a lifting force.

Water bottom resource collecting system and collecting method

This invention discloses an AM stereo transmission method characterized in that when left and right audio signals L and R are transmitted as an AM stereo signal which is represented by S=A cos(.omega.t+.phi.) wherein A denotes an amplitude, .omega. a carrier angular frequency and .phi. a phase angle given by tan.sup.-1 (L-R)/1+L+R, the audio signal of low frequency is transmitted at an amplitude A=(1+L+R), and the audio signal of high frequency is transmitted at an amplitude A=.sqroot.(1+L+R).sup.2 +(L-R).sup.2. The modulator according to the present invention comprises a matrix circuit for providing signals (L+R) and (L-R), an orthogonal modulator to produce an AM stereo signal .sqroot.(1+L+R).sup.2 +(L-R).sup.2 cos(.omega.t+.phi., an amplitude controller, an amplitude control signal generator circuit and a low-pass filter. In the modulator the said AM stereo signal S is changed to the signal (1+L+R)cos(.omega.t+.phi.) for audio signal of low frequency by controlling the amplitude controller. The demodulator according to the present invention comprises an amplitude controller to which the AM signal S=A cos(.omega.t+.phi.) is inputted, an orthogonal demodulator, an matrix circuit for driving signals L and R from signals (L+R) and (L-R) obtained by the orthogonal demodulator, an amplitude control signal generator circuit and a low-pass filter. In the demodulator the said AM stereo signal S=(1+L+R)cos(.omega.t+.phi.) for audio signal of low frequency is changed to the signal .sqroot.(1+L+R).sup.2 +(L-R).sup.2 cos(.omega.t+.phi.) by controlling the amplitude controller.

AM stereo transmission method and apparatus

An exhaust gas purification control apparatus for an internal combustion engine wherein vacuum signals applied to air fuel mixture control, exhaust gas recirculation control, and ignition timing control are modified by a vacuum signal modifier. The vacuum signal modifier is operative in response to a pressure signal applied thereto. This pressure signal is produced by a pressure signal control device by diluting a venturi vacuum with air.

Exhaust gas purification control apparatus for internal combustion engine

A multi-cylinder internal combustion engine includes, per each of a plurality of cylinders, a main combustion chamber, an auxiliary combustion chamber in which ignition is effected by means of a spark plug and a torch nozzle through which a torch flame resulting from combustion within the auxiliary combustion chambers enters the main combustion chamber to initiate combustion therein. An engine head of the engine has a plurality of exhaust passageways, corresponding in number to half of the plurality of cylinders. Each of the plurality of exhaust passageways has a discharge port, to which an exhaust manifold is connected, and extends from the discharge port to two of exhaust valves which are arranged next to each other. Within each of the plurality of exhaust passageways, a port liner is installed to keep exhaust gas flowing along the exhaust passageway warm.

Exhaust port liner for multi-cylinder internal combustion engine

The output voltage of an AM synchronous detector is compared with a reference potential level by a voltage comparator. A muting device connected with the output of the detector is controlled by a control circuit connected with the comparator. Through this control circuit, the detector output is immediately muted when the detector output level falls below the reference potential level, and the muting of the detector output is removed after a predetermined retardation when the detector output level exceeds the reference potential level.

Muting arrangement for AM synchronous detector using a PLL circuit

An exhaust manifold has dual liner structure constructed of an intermediate liner forming a chamber and a plurality of sleeves extending outwardly from the chamber and of an inner liner within the intermediate liner. The inner liner forms a reaction chamber within the chamber of the intermediate liner and a plurality of tubes extending outwardly from the reaction chamber and mounted within the sleeves, respectively. The tubes have inlet ports for connection to exhaust ports of an internal combustion engine. The reaction chamber is formed with a plurality of apertures opening to the chamber of the intermediate liner to let hot gases to flow into the chamber of the intermediate liner embracing the reaction chamber. The chamber of the intermediate liner is formed with an outlet port for connection to an exhaust pipe.

An oscillation frequency control device which comprises a voltage control local oscillator; a generator for giving forth an output having a predetermined referential frequency; means for periodically generating a gate pulse whose time width is equal to an integral multiple of the period of an output signal from said generator; a gate circuit for permitting the passage of an output signal from the local oscillator only during the time width of said gate pulse, wherein, while the local oscillator continues oscillation at a desired frequency, the number k of waves running through the gate circuit is chosen to be equal to an integral multiple of the counting capacity or the scale type n of a counter; said n-scale counter counts signals which have traveled through the gate circuit in at least one cycle for each supply period of the gate pulse, starting with the prescribed count at which said counter is initially reset; a count obtained in the final cycle is changed into an analog signal; comparison is made between a voltage represented by said analog signal and the referential voltage corresponding to the prescribed count at which the counter is initially reset; a differential voltage resulting from the outcome of said comparison is fed back to the local oscillator as a control voltage, thereby causing said oscillator to carry out oscillation only at desired frequencies.
