The focus size control circuitry controls a focus size formed in the anode by applying to the deflector a deflecting voltage of a deflecting voltage value based on a tube voltage value of the tube voltage and a predetermined size, in order to form a focus of the predetermined size in the anode during the period where the tube voltage is applied by the high voltage power supply.

The X-ray tube includes: a cathode that emits electrons; coils that generate electromagnetic force; and an anode that rotates about a rotation axis in response to the electromagnetic force and to generate an X-ray by receiving the electrons. The holding member holds the X-ray tube so that the X-ray tube is movable. The coil control circuitry controls a current to be supplied to the coils based on at least one of a position of the X-ray tube, a direction of the X-ray tube, or a velocity of the X-ray tube.

A storage apparatus includes a non-volatile memory and a controller to determine whether or not to compress data at a time when a non-volatile memory device receives the data from a host apparatus. A storage controller transmits a specified logical address range, an update frequency level of the specified logical address range, and specified data to a device controller. When a determination is made not to compress the specified data, the device controller writes the specified data into the non-volatile memory.
