A casing of darkroom illumination equipment is composed of a base assembly and a lid. A substrate mounting light emitting diodes, a milky colored plate, a filter and a transparent plate are placed in the casing. The light emitting diode which emits the light for which spectrum has its peak at the wavelength of 585 nm is used so as not to affect photographic color paper. The filter eliminates the light having wavelengths in the lower slope apart from the peak in the spectrum and allows only the light having the wavelengths at the peak and in the proximity of the peak to pass through.

Darkroom illumination equipment

Disclosed is a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material for plate making which has an excellent rapid processing performance and a high processing stability. The silver halide photographic light-sensitive material comprises a support having provided thereon at least one silver halide light-sensitive emulsion layer, wherein at least one of (i) the at least one emulsion layer and (ii) another hydrophilic colloid layers(s) contains a compound represented by Formula (I).

Development of silver halide photosensitive material with a developer containing a developing agent and a free sulfite is accompanied by deposition of silver sludge. Silver sludge is effectively suppressed by adding to the developer (a) a six-membered heterocyclic compound which has a six-membered ring containing two nitrogen atoms and has a mercapto group, a hydroxyl group and one or two substituents having 2 to 20 carbon atoms in total or (a') a six-membered heterocyclic compound which has a six-membered ring containing three nitrogen atoms and has a mercapto group and a hydroxyl group.

Development of silver halide photosensitive material and developer

A developer composition having improved stability to aerial oxidation, which contains at least one compound represented by formulae (A) and (B): ##STR1## where R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each represent a hydroxyl group, an amino group, an acylamino group, an alkylsulfonylamino group, an arylsulfonylamino group, an alkoxycarbonylamino group, a mercapto group or an alkylthio group; and X represents a group of atoms selected from carbon and nitrogen which forms a 5-membered or 6-membered ring together with the two vinyl carbons substituted by R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, respectively, and the carbonyl carbon of formula (A); ##STR2## where R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 each represent a hydroxyl group, an amino group, an acylamino group, an alkylsulfonylamino group, an arylsulfonylamino group, an alkoxycarbonylamino group, a mercapto group or an alkylthio group; and Y represents a group of atoms selected from carbon, nitrogen and oxygen containing at least one ether bond, and Y forms a 6-membered ring together with the two vinyl carbons substituted by R.sub.3 and R.sub.4, respectively, and the carbonyl carbon of formula (B), provided that both R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are not hydroxyl.

Method of processing silver halide photographic material and composition

A process for preparing a carboxyalkyl-substituted hydroxylamine represented by formula (I) ##STR1## where L represents an alkylene group; A represents a hydrogen atom, a sulfo group, a carboxy group, a phosphono group, a trialkylammonio group, a hydroxy group, an amino group, an acyl group, a carbamoyl group, a sulfamoyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, or a cyano group; and R.sub.1, R.sub.2, and R.sub.3, which may be the same or different, each represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or an aryl group; which comprises: reacting an .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated carboxylic acid represented by formula (II) as an alkylating agent ##STR2## where R'.sub.1, R'.sub.2, and R'.sub.3, which may be the same or different, each represent the same group as defined for R.sub.1, R.sub.2, and R.sub.3, with a hydroxylamine of the formula HO--NH--R', where R' represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group which may be substituted with a sulfo group, a carboxy group, a phosphono group, a trialkylammonio group, a hydroxy group, an amino group, an acyl group, a carbamoyl group, a sulfamoyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, or a cyano group, in the presence of a solvent comprising: (a): (i) an organic polar solvent alone or (ii) a solvent mixture of water and an organic polar solvent when A is a sulfo group, a carboxy group, a phosphono group, or a trialkylammonio group; or (b): (i) water alone, (ii) an organic polar solvent alone, or (iii) a solvent mixture of water with an organic polar solvent when A is a hydrogen atom, a hydroxy group, an amino group, an acyl carbamoyl group, a sulfamoyl group, an alkoxy group, or a cyano group.

Process for preparing carboxyalkyl-substituted hydroxylamine

A dispensing unit for mixing and dispensing a beverage which consists of several constituents, including syrup. The unit dispenses beverage from a bottle having a bottom outlet portion and through a syrup path controlled by a manually operable valve. A gas path in the dispensing unit supplies gas into the bottle for urging the syrup from the bottle and into the syrup path. An additional liquid is permitted to flow to a mixing chamber along with the syrup where they are mixed.

Beverage mixing and dispensing unit

In a beverage dispensing unit which includes a storing unit (32), a conducting arrangement (43) for conducting a beverage from the storing unit, and a cabinet (38), the storing unit comprises a portable tank which is removable from the cabinet. The conducting arrangement includes an end portion (47) which is detachably connected to the tank. The end portion is held to the cabinet to be radially movable in relation to a connecting axis defined by the cabinet. Preferably, the cabinet comprises guiding arrangement (41, 42) for guiding the tank substantially along the connecting axis. The beverage dispensing unit further comprises a controlling unit (60) for controlling dispensation of the beverage. For adjusting a flow rate of the beverage in a beverage path (62, 63, 64) which is opened and closed by a valve (75), the controlling unit comprises an adjusting member (82) having an end (82b) covered with an operating member (90) which operates the valve. The operating member is movable to expose the end of the adjusting member, so that it is readily possible to adjust the flow rate of the beverage.

Beverage dispensing unit with a control unit for controlling

A post-mix beverage dispensing system including a cabinet having top, front, back, side and bottom panels for housing various components is disclosed. The components of the system include a carbonator for producing carbonated water by mixing cooled potable water with CO.sub.2. Potable water is stored in a portable tank means and is supplied to the carbonator through a first pipe. The portable tank is easily detachable from the cabinet. The system further includes a cooling reservoir containing cooled water. A serpentine section of the first pipe, along with the carbonator is disposed in the cooling reservoir. A CO.sub.2 tank supplies CO.sub.2 to the carbonator. Syrup packages dispense a selected syrup. Carbonated water from the carbonator, cool water from the portable tank, and syrup from the syrup packages are mixed in a valve and dispensed through a nozzle. The cooled water may be continuously supplied to the carbonator through the first pipe. Second and third pipes link the carbonator with the valve, and the CO.sub.2 to the syrup packages for dispensing CO.sub.2 therefrom, respectively.
