A pipe joint is equipped with a body, and an attachment and detachment mechanism by which a fluid tube is mounted detachably with respect to the body. A pawl of a chuck that constitutes the attachment and detachment mechanism includes a stopper member that abuts against an outer circumferential surface of the fluid tube, and piercing members, distal ends of which project more toward a side of the fluid tube than the stopper member and pierce into the outer circumferential surface of the fluid tube.

Pipe joint

In a pipe joint, a release bush includes a cylindrical portion and a flange portion for pressing, provided along an outer edge of the cylindrical portion. A movable portion including a part of the flange portion and a part of the cylindrical portion is formed to move with respect to a main portion including the remaining part of the flange portion and the remaining part of the cylindrical portion, via an elastically deformable portion. The cylindrical portion of the movable portion can be moved to be aligned with the cylindrical portion of the main portion along the same circumference, by an external operating force exerted on the movable portion, while the movable portion remains in a position opposing a main body of the pipe joint when an operating force is not applied, thereby inhibiting the release bush from being pressed into a chuck despite the flange portion being pressed.

Cylinder mechanisms are provided for driving three jaw members each of which includes a cylinder hole having a long circular cross section, a piston which slides in the cylinder hole and has a long circular cross section, and a piston rod extending from the piston. The cylinder mechanisms are disposed at a position in the chuck body which is adjacent to corresponding jaw member in a state in which an axis of the cylinder hole in a direction parallel to a moving direction of the jaw member and a shorter diameter of the cylinder hole is directed in an axial direction of the chuck body.

A chuck body has a first surface for fixing to a support body and a second surface opposite to the first surface, and the second surface of the chuck body is provided with a pair of chuck members for chucking a workpiece and a guide rail for guiding an open and close operation of these chuck members. Further, a plurality of stationary holes for fixing the chuck body to the support body is formed at a position overlapping with the chuck members of the guide rail so as to communicate with the first surface, and each of the chuck members is provided with a work hole for inserting a screw into these stationary holes.

Opening and closing chuck

An opening/closing operation of a pair of jaw components is linearly guided by a single guide block attached to the chuck body. The guide block comprises the block body, a pair of guide walls formed integrally on a first face of the block body, and one or two attaching walls formed integrally on a second face of the block body.
