A tactile presentation device includes a panel including a region touchable by a user, vibrators disposed outside the touchable region, and a driving controller to supply driving signals to the vibrators. At least a part of the entire outer end of the panel is an absorber end region. Each point closest to one of the vibrators on the entire outer end of the panel is included in the absorber end region. The driving controller supplies driving signals to the vibrators to generate a standing wave on the touchable region. Each of the driving signals is a synthetic wave of a carrier and a modulating wave at a frequency lower than a frequency of the carrier. The driving controller is configured to control location of a node of the standing wave in the touchable region with phase differences among carriers of the driving signals for the vibrators.

A tactile presentation device comprising: a contact face; a plurality of electrodes arranged along the contact face; a first control unit controlling operations of the electrodes for detecting contact or approach of an object toward the 5 contact face; a second control unit controlling operations of the electrodes for presenting a tactile sense to the contact face; and a third control unit causing a part of the plurality of the electrodes to be controlled by the first control unit, sequentially changing the electrode to be controlled by 10 the first control unit to another electrode among the plurality of the electrodes, and causing electrodes other than the electrode that is controlled by the first control unit to be controlled by the second control unit.

Tactile presentation device and control method

A tactile presentation device includes a movable part, a base, a guider, and one or more actuators. The movable part includes a first main surface and presents tactile to a user by being displaced in a predetermined one axial direction parallel to the first main surface. The base supports the movable part in a displaceable manner. The guider connects the base and the movable part, and regulates a displacement direction of the movable part in the one axial direction by sliding in the one axial direction. The actuator displaces the movable part in the one axial direction from one end side of the movable part in the one axial direction. When the number of actuators is one, the actuator is located on a symmetry axis of the movable part parallel to the one axial direction.

An ultrasonic sensor device includes a plurality of pixels each including an ultrasonic transducer, and a control circuit configured to control the plurality of pixels. Each of the plurality of pixels is configured to hold a signal received by the ultrasonic transducer therein and send the signal to the control circuit as a response signal. The control circuit is configured to acquire an excitation response signal, which is a response signal sent from a pixel after the ultrasonic transducer therein is excited, acquire a non-excitation response signal, which is a response signal sent from a pixel when the ultrasonic transducer therein is not excited, and correct the excitation response signal based on the non-excitation response signal.

Ultrasonic sensor device and method of controlling the same

A tactile presentation device includes a panel, a first supporting member that secures and supports a first end of the panel, a vibration generator disposed at a position facing the first supporting member across a target area to be touched by a user on the panel, and a driving control device that provides the vibration generator with a driving signal. The driving control device makes only the vibration generator vibrate to form a standing wave in an area including the target area between the vibration generator and the first end. A first vibration reflection rate at the first end for a carrier wave from the vibration generator is negative. A second vibration reflection rate for the carrier wave from the vibration generator at a second end of the panel that is opposing to the first end across the vibration generator is greater than the first vibration reflection rate.

A device to enable touchless operation of an instrument is disclosed. The device includes an actuator configured to vibrate the instrument, a controller configured to control the actuator, and an interval detector configured to detect an interval between the instrument and an object to operate the instrument. The controller is configured to start vibrating the actuator having been still after the interval detected by the interval detector reaches a first threshold, keep vibrating the actuator until the interval detected by the interval detector reaches a second threshold larger than the first threshold after the interval reaches the first threshold, and stop vibrating the actuator after the interval detected by the interval detector reaches the second threshold.
