A vehicle control apparatus includes: a first braking force generating section configured to actuate, by a hydraulic pressure, wheel cylinders; a second braking force generating section configured to be mechanically regulated to provide the braking force to the one of the wheels; a braking force control switching section configured to automatically switch the second braking force generating section from a non-actuation state to an actuation state when a predetermined condition is satisfied in an actuation state of the first braking force generating section and in the non-actuation state of the second braking force generating section, and to switch the first braking force generating section to the non-actuation state; and a braking force characteristic control section configured to control a braking force characteristic generated by the first braking force generating section, and relating to the switching operation of the braking force control switching section.

Vehicle control apparatus

A control apparatus for a vehicle, comprising a control unit having: a resultant acceleration information calculating section () configured to calculate a resultant acceleration which is a synthesis of two direction accelerations acted upon the vehicle; a resultant jerk calculating section () configured to calculate a resultant jerk of at least one of change rates of the two directional accelerations with respect to time and a change rate of the resultant acceleration with respect to time; and a rollover tendency determining section () configured to determine a tendency of rollover of the vehicle using at least one of the calculated resultant acceleration and the calculated resultant jerk.

A brake control apparatus has a master cylinder pressure detection section that detects a master cylinder pressure produced by driver's brake operation, a pump that draws brake fluid in a master cylinder and discharges the brake fluid to a wheel cylinder that is provided in a wheel, and a control unit that controls a wheel cylinder pressure in response to the detected master cylinder pressure. The control unit has a master cylinder pressure correction section that corrects the detected master cylinder pressure in accordance with a discharge flow quantity of the pump, and a wheel cylinder pressure control section that controls the wheel cylinder pressure by the brake fluid discharged from the pump on the basis of the corrected master cylinder pressure.

Brake control apparatus

A brake control apparatus includes a braking force generating section and a control unit. The braking force generating section generates braking forces at wheels of a vehicle. The control unit includes: a vehicle behavior calculating section configured to calculate dynamic behavior of the vehicle, wherein the dynamic behavior includes lateral acceleration, yaw rate, and rolling behavior; a first braking force distribution calculating section configured to calculate a first setpoint of distribution of the braking forces depending on the calculated lateral acceleration and yaw rate; a second braking force distribution calculating section configured to calculate a second setpoint of distribution of the braking forces depending on the calculated rolling behavior; and a braking force distribution control section configured to select one of the first and second setpoints depending on the calculated dynamic behavior, and operate the braking force generating section with a braking force request set to the selected setpoint.
