A handle weight mounting structure of a saddle-ride-type vehicle includes a dynamic damper on the inside of a handle pipe while rigidly mounting a handle weight. A hollow handle pipe is provided with the handle weight arranged in the handle pipe by insertion from an outer end of the handle pipe. The handle weight includes a bolt insertion hole having a tapered portion on an inner portion thereof in the vehicle widthwise direction. A split groove with a nut member is formed into a tapered shape and is engaged with a split-groove side of the handle weight. A weight fixing bolt passes through the bolt insertion hole of the handle weight and fastens the handle weight and the nut member to each other. A mounting member for a dynamic damper is supported on the inside of the handle pipe in a floating state and is mounted on the nut member.

Handle weight mounting structure of saddle-ride-type vehicle

A parking brake lever which provides ease of recognition of a locked state of the parking brake lever and improves the arrangement of the parking brake lever around a handle bar. A parking brake lever includes a handle rear arm portion provided adjacent to a left handle bar rearward thereof in an unlocked position in which a parking brake caliper is in an unlocked state, and a handle upper arm portion provided adjacent to the left handle bar upward thereof in the unlocked position in which the parking brake caliper is in the unlocked state. A rotating shaft of the parking brake lever is provided in the handle rear arm portion that is substantially parallel to the direction of the axis of the left handle bar, so that the parking brake caliper can be operated into the locked state by pulling the parking brake lever upward.

A body structure of a straddle-ride vehicle includes a body frame, a handlebar, a front fork, a front wheel guide member, and an opposite cover. The handlebar is turnably provided on the body frame. The fork extends from the handlebar and rotatably supports a front wheel. The front wheel guide member is disposed at a front portion of the body frame in a traveling direction of the vehicle and faces the front wheel. The front wheel guide member includes a slant portion extending from one side to another side in a vehicle-width direction and from a front to a rear in the traveling direction. The opposite cover is supported by the front fork to cover a rear portion of the front wheel and faces the front wheel guide member.

A parking brake lever apparatus for a vehicle includes a first latchet member and a second latchet member arranged along the direction of an axis of a rotating shaft of a holder member which rotatably supports a parking brake lever. The first latchet member and the second latchet member are arranged so that respective teeth thereof come into contact with each other at end surfaces facing in the direction of the axis of the rotating shaft when the parking brake lever is in an unlocked position. The first latchet member is moved toward the second latchet member by springs so that the respective teeth of the first latchet member and the second latchet member are engaged with each other when the parking brake lever is in a locked position.

Parking brake lever apparatus for vehicle

In certain embodiments, a vehicle includes a vehicle body frame including a main frame extending rearward from a head pipe, and a pivot frame extending downward from a rear portion of the main frame. An engine is supported by the vehicle body frame. A shift pedal is provided, with which a driver performs a gear-shifting operation. A base part is provided, to which a detector and a moveable part are attached. The detector is configured to detect the gear-shifting operation, and the moveable part is configured such that an operation thereof is detected by the detector. A link is provided, which links the shift pedal and the moveable part to each other. The base part is detachably provided to the engine, and the base part and the moveable part are configured, in a plan view, inward of an outer side surface of the main frame in a vehicle width direction.

Transmission control apparatus for saddle-ride type vehicle

A saddle-type vehicle is provided with an impact member for deflecting a front wheel sideways in the event of a collision. The saddle-type vehicle includes a body frame having a head pipe for rotatably supporting a steering shaft for the front wheel, main frames extending rearwards from the head pipe, and an engine operatively mounted to the main frames. The impact member is disposed in front of a lower portion of the engine. The impact member includes a support part, which extends forwardly from the engine, and a load-receiving deflector plate mounted to the support part and which is inclined away from a vehicle width direction.
