A sheet stack cutter cuts sheet stacks by means of a moving cutter edge and a stationary cutter edge disposed upward and downward along a predetermined cutting-plane line. The sheet stack cutter includes a sheet loading table for supporting the sheet stack, a press device for pressing and holding the sheet stack on the sheet loading table, a moving cutter edge disposed in up and down cutting directions for cutting the sheet stack on the sheet loading table along the cutting-plane line, a stationary cutter edge disposed to the side of the sheet loading table for pressing the moving cutter edge to cut the sheet stack, and an apparatus frame furnished with the press device and the moving cutter edge. A drive device moves the moving cutter edge in up and down cutting directions.

A photosensitive material comprises a photosensitive composition comprising a photosensitive and heat-developable element and a photopolymerizable element. An imagewise unexposed area on the material is polymerized by imagewise exposure, heating and whole areal exposure. The photosensitive and heat-developable element comprises at least a photosensitive silver halide, an organic silver salt and a reducing agent of the formula ##STR1## The photopolymerizable element comprises at least a polymerizable polymer precursor and a photopolymerization initiator. An image forming method comprises the steps; subjecting a photosensitive material in the same layer to imagewise exposure and heating to form an image; and subjecting the resultant photosensitive material to whole areal exposure to polymerize and imagewise unexposed or exposed area thereof.

Photosensitive composition containing photosensitive and heat

A photosensitive material comprises a photosensitive and heat-developable element and a photopolymerizable element which are contained in the same layer. The photopolymerizable element comprises at least a polymerizable polymer precursor having a melting point of 35.degree. C. or more. The photosensitive material is exposed to light with at least one wavelength within the wavelength region of from 400 nm to 900 nm, heated at 60.degree. to 180.degree. C., and exposed to light with at least one wavelength within the wavelength region of from 250 to 700 nm, and thus an unexposed area in the photosensitive layer which is an area not exposed to light with at least one wavelength within the wavelength region of from 400 nm to 900 nm is polymerized.

Photosensitive material and image forming method

There is provided a method and apparatus for forming an image which includes providing a recording composition capable of changing its adhesivity corresponding to the polarity of a voltage applied thereto between a pair of electrodes. The recording composition has a transfer characteristic having a tendency to change by loss of at least one component of the recording composition. A voltage is applied between the pair of electrodes to attach the recording composition to one of the pair of electrodes to attach the recording composition to one of the pair of electrodes. Any such change in the transfer characteristic of the recording composition is detected during the process. In response to any change in the transfer characteristic additional component is added to the recording composition to compensate for that change.

An ink which can cause a change in its adhesiveness by an electrochemical reaction is obtained by impregnating a crosslinked substance such as polyvinyl alcohol with a liquid dispersion medium comprising an organic solvent having a relative dielectric constant of 15 or larger at 25.degree. C. such as ethylene glycol. The ink shows little characteristic change due to drying, etc., and suitably retains its fluidity when left standing in the air for a long period. The ink is supplied with a pattern of energy to be provided with an adhesive pattern, which is then transferred to a recording medium such as plain paper, directly or by the medium of an intermediate transfer medium to form an ink pattern corresponding to the energy pattern applied.

A triboelectrically chargeable composition for use in development of electrostatic latent images. The composition comprises a positively chargeable compound and a base material carrying the positively chargeable compound. The positively chargeable compound has an oxidation potential of 750 mV or below, a whiteness W of 0.5 or above and an average particle size of 5.0 microns or smaller. The composition is embodied typically as a positively chargeable toner and also as a charge-imparting material for charging a toner. The positively chargeable toner is especially adapted for development of digital latent images, e.g., as produced by laser beam scanning.
