A radiation image capturing system includes a first image capturing apparatus for capturing a radiation image of a subject, a second image capturing apparatus for capturing a radiation image of the subject, the second image capturing apparatus having a specification different from that of the first image capturing apparatus, an image correcting device for correcting the radiation image of the subject which is captured by the second image capturing apparatus such that the radiation image of the subject which is captured by the second image capturing apparatus has the same magnification as that of the radiation image of the subject which is captured by the first image capturing apparatus, and a display unit for displaying the corrected radiation image. The radiation images captured by the image capturing apparatus of different specifications are corrected to have the same magnification.

A video signal processing apparatus able to obtain a suitable still image from a squeezed video signal, including a converting unit configured to judge whether or not a video signal has been squeezed based on an input video signal and aspect information indicating the aspect ratio of the video signal and to inverse-squeeze it to the designated video signal when judging that it was squeezed as a result of the judgment to convert it to a video signal of a still image of a prescribed image size and a still image recording and/or reproduction unit configured to record the video signal of the still image converted by the converting unit.

An ink ribbon adapted to be used for a sublimation type thermal transfer printer, said ink ribbon comprises a ribbon-shaped substrate, ink layers formed on a surface of said substrate and containing dyes, sensor marks formed on said surface of said substrate and a back coat layer formed on the other surface of said substrate, said sensor marks containing first carbon black with an average particle diameter of 30 nm or less and second carbon black with an average particle diameter of 270 nm or more. Such an ink ribbon significantly improve the reliability of detecting sensor marks and the shelf life.

The television signal recording/reproducing system digitally records and reproduces television signals composed of a luminance signal, a chrominance signal and a resolution compensation signal included in predetermined television scanning lines. The system includes a Y/C separating circuit for separating the luminance signal Y from the chrominance signal C. The luminance signal Y and the resolution compensation signal are combined onto a first signal line. A demodulating circuit demodulates the chrominance signal into a color difference signal and outputs the demodulated signal to a second signal line. A digital video signal recorder digitally process the signals on the first signal line separately from the signals on the second signal line and records the digitally processed signals. In this manner, the resolution compensation signal is processed with the luminance signal and the resolution compensation signal can be accurately recorded.
