In a storage device provided with a plurality of recording devices, the vibrations which propagate to the recording devices through a board can be reduced with a small number of parts. A storage device equipped with a plurality of recording devices having: a canister equipped with the recording device; a board equipped with a circuit that transmits a signal to the recording device or processes a signal; a chassis equipped with the board and the canister; a plate-like piezoelectric element attached to part of the board; a vibration detection sensor attached to part of the board; and a control unit that controls a drive signal given to the piezoelectric element in accordance with a sensor output of the vibration detection sensor is proposed.

Storage device

A storage device having a plurality of recording devices in which a decrease in vibrations from the recording devices can be achieved with a small number of parts. A storage device having a plurality of recording devices mounted therein includes a handle for inserting and withdrawing the recording device into and out of the storage device. Two holding members each include a mounting portion where the recording device is mounted and a frame extending from the mounting portion to the handle. Two protrusions are formed to extend inwardly of a region surrounded by the recording device, the handle, and the two frames. A restriction plate is disposed so as to overlap the respective surfaces of the two protrusions; and a viscoelastic body is disposed at the overlapping portion for joining the two protrusions and the restriction plate to one another.

Temperature variation among electronic apparatuses installed in the data center is reduced, enhancement in reliability of the electronic apparatuses, and increase in service life are achieved, and efficient cooling of an electronic apparatus group is realized. Further, an electronic apparatus with low noise is provided. A front cover is provided on a front surface of an electronic apparatus, and a back cover is provided on a rear surface of it. A supplied air opening is formed at a lower side of the front cover, and an exhaust air opening is formed at an upper side of the back cover. The supplied air opening is connected to a blowing in opening from below the floor level, and the exhaust air opening is connected to a ceiling air duct. The ceiling air duct is provided with a heat exchanger, and indirect heat exchange is performed with external air.

Cooling systems and electronic apparatus

Provided is a disk array device or an electronic device having an enhanced cooling performance with lower noises. The disk array device has doors in the front side and in the rear side of the device, each of the doors is formed with outside openings which are louver-like or bend-like, the louver- or bend-like openings in the doors being directed in directions which are opposite to each other between the door on the suction side and the door on the exhaust side.

Disk array device and electronic device

A disk array apparatus including a rack-shaped basic frame, and a plurality of disk boxes that can be inserted into and pulled out of the basic frame depth-wise. Each disk box has: disk drive connectors for connecting a plurality of disk drives arranged in a matrix on a platter substrate, which is the bottom face of the disk box, roughly parallel to the depth direction of the basic frame; and a cooling module for cooling the disk drives. The disk box is a hermetically sealed structure.

Disk array apparatus

In a disk array apparatus, by taking note of a first sound of a specific frequency which is a noise element of original sounds generated from a fan, a second sound whose phase is inverted to that of the first sound is generated by a structure of a cooling air flow path passing through the fan, and the second sound is synthesized with the first sound on the cooling air flow path, thereby reducing the noise. For example, an exhaust duct is located on a fan unit in an upper part of the apparatus, two flow paths extending to an exhaust port are formed in an internal structure of the exhaust duct, and the two flow paths are designed so that the difference in the flow path length therebetween becomes equivalent to half wavelength of the specific frequency.

A disk array apparatus includes a plurality of disk drives arranged in at least one disk drive line in a direction of an airflow, at least one shield plate, a housing containing the disk drives and the at least one shield plate therein, and flow passages arranged between an upper surface of the disk drives and an inner wall of the housing for enabling the airflow to pass through. The at least one shield plate is arranged between at least two of the disk drives of the at least one disk drive line for controlling the airflow on a downstream side of the flow passages.

Disk array apparatus for providing equalized cooling

A disk array system includes a plurality of disk drives and at least one unit box including the plurality of disk drives aligned in the thickness direction of the disk drive, each disk drive including a thin case accommodating a recording disk, a read/write head, and a driving mechanism for driving the recording disk and the read/write head, and a control board for controlling the driving mechanism, the control board being mounted on the thin case. In the disk array system, the thin case and the unit box are composed of a thermally-conductive material, the unit box includes surfaces parallel to the thickness direction of the plurality of disk drives, and at least one of the surfaces has a cold plate filled with a refrigerant. Heat generated at the disk drives is transferred to the cold plate, thereby improving cooling performance.

Disk array system

There is a problem in that when the demand accuracy with respect to a semiconductor pattern dimension comes close to a resist molecule size with miniaturization, the device performance is deteriorated due to edge roughness of a resist pattern to exert a bad influence on the system performance. The present invention overcomes the problem by the procedure in which super-molecules which are small in dimension as compared with the conventional polymers are used as main components, the reaction number required for the change of molecule solubility is made constant and as large as possible, and an acid generator is made clathrate or combinatory n super molecules to make an acid catalyst concentration large. As a result, it is possible to form a pattern of molecular accuracy with high productivity even with respect to the pattern dimension less than 50 nm, thereby realizing the high performance system.

Method for producing electronic device

In a disc array apparatus having a plurality of disc units, and a plurality of first connectors, each of which disc units includes a disc casing surrounding at least one recording disc rotatable therein on a rotatable axis, a casing holder on which the disk casing is mounted, and a second connector (detachably) connectable to corresponding one of the first connectors so that at least an electric connection between the disc casing and the corresponding one of the first connectors is capable of being formed through the second connector, the disk casing is connected to the casing holder in such a manner that a heat energy generated for at least one of recording an information onto the recording disc and reading out the information from the recording disk is capable of transferring from the disk casing to the casing holder.

Dish array apparatus with improved heat energy transfer

A liquid cooling apparatus for use in a disk array apparatus which contains a plural number of units having a disk drive inside of a housing and disposed within a rack, including an air-blow fan, a pump for transmitting liquid coolant, a radiator for transmitting heat absorbed into the liquid coolant into outside air, and pipes for connection of the pump and radiator. The liquid cooling apparatus further includes a temperature sensor disposed at a position for detecting temperature of the liquid coolant, which temperature changes in response to electric power consumed within the plural number of disk drives, and a rotation speed of the pump is controlled in dependence upon a detection signal from the temperature sensor.

Disk array apparatus and liquid cooling apparatus thereof

To improve the laser annealing process for polycrystallizing amorphous silicon to form silicon thin films having large crystal particle diameters at a high throughput, the present invention is directed to a process of crystallization by irradiation of a semiconductor thin film formed on a substrate with pulsed laser light. The process comprises having a means to shape laser light into a linear beam and a means to periodically and spatially modulate the intensity of pulsed laser in the direction of the long axis of the linear beam by passing through a phase-shifting stripy pattern perpendicular to the long axis, and collectively forming for each shot a polycrystalline film composed of crystals which have grown in a certain direction over the entire region irradiated with the linear beam.

A disk array apparatuscomprises plural disk drives, fans, and a casing. The disk drivesare arranged in an array, the fansare provided on one end side of rows of the disk drives, and the casingaccommodates the disk drivesand the fans. Air which has already cooled the disk drives flows through an air duct. A sub-fanexhausts the air flowing through the air duct to the outside of the casing. A nozzleis arranged in a front end portion of the air duct. One end portion of the nozzleis arranged between the disk drives.

A disk array apparatus comprises a casing, a disk drive group configured by a plurality of disk drives, a controller unit configured by a plurality of circuit substrates, a plurality of cooling fans, and backflow prevention members. The plurality of cooling fans is provided so as to be aligned between the disk drive group and the controller unit in the casing. The backflow prevention members are provided so as to protrude on the side of the disk drive group or on the side of the controller unit from between the cooling fans while extending to define a space on the inlet side or the outlet side of the cooling fans.
