A control target device is specified using a remote control device with a simple configuration. The remote control device includes: a communication unit that receives a received signal strength from each of a plurality of electronic devices and transmits a predetermined control command to a control target device; and a control target device specifying unit that specifies, as the control target device, a device having a maximum variation of the received signal strength among the plurality of electronic devices. The communication unit includes an antenna disposed at an end of a housing, and the antenna has directivity at which a direction in which the end of the housing is directed to a reception side is a substantially null direction.

An attachment/detachment mechanism for an antenna is configured to avoid damage to the antenna when an excessively large force is applied to the antenna, regardless of the direction. A rotational L-shaped connector of an antenna section of the antenna is connected to an antenna housing disposed on a main electronic device unit. A fitting groove is formed on a male fitting cylinder on the rotational L-shaped connector side, and an O-ring is fitted to the groove. An engagement projection formed on an inner wall of a female fitting cylinder on the antenna housing frictionally engages with the O-ring. This configuration allows rotation and attachment/detachment of the antenna section relative to the antenna housing. A contact member is attached to the fitting cylinder to contact a contact springthat presses the O-ring against the engagement projection.

Attachment/detachment mechanism for compact antenna

A method of providing fabrication-historic data for a semiconductor device to a chip, has the step of: preparing a wafer with a pattern of a plurality of chips, where each chip has a product area to function as a semiconductor device and a fabrication-historical data area on which fabrication-historical data is to be held, wherein different fabrication-historical data is provided for each chip by exposing all of the chips on the wafer as a single unit by means of an exposure system using a mater mask while the product area of each chip is shielded from exposure or in one of the steps of forming the contact holes and carrying out wiring among the transistors. Consequently, the process can be easily performed because of the exposure in one operation using the master mask and thus the fabrication-historical data can be easily mounted on the chip.

The present invention is for providing an antenna device in a portable radio, capable of transmitting and receiving in frequency bands used in two different communication systems without the performance irregularity even in the case of the mass production. By having the inductance per unit length along the elongating direction of the upper antenna element larger than that of the lower antenna element, the entire antenna element is resonated at a first frequency f,as a quarter wave ground antenna element and is also resonated at a second frequency f,lower than the frequency three times as much as the first frequency f,as a three quarter wave ground antenna. Since the antenna element is formed with an antenna pattern printed on a printed wiring board, antenna elements with the same shape can be obtained, and thus the antenna performance irregularity cannot be generated even in the case of the mass production.

Antenna device

First and second helical antenna elements are connected in series with a radio signal. The first helical antenna element resonates at a first frequency as a &frac14;-wavelength antenna. The series combination of the first and second helical antenna elements resonates as a &frac34; wavelength antenna at a second frequency respectively. The two frequencies differ by less than a factor of three. A retractable rod antenna shorts out one of the antenna elements in an extended position at which it is connected to the radio, and is disconnected from the radio in its retracted position. The rod antenna resonates as a &frac14;-wavelength antenna at the first frequency.

Dual frequency antenna device

A stripper holder for holding a stripper plate conforms with the deformation of a die plate. A pressing force applied to the stripper plate and is greater than an elastic limit of a metal tape to be punched, and less than a pressing deformation or breakage force of the metal tape. The stripper holder may also be flexible, or such that the metal tape is pressed at two different positions for one punching position by two different pressing forces.
