A golf club head is formed from a front-face body made of a metal material, an FRP body, a metal sole plate, and a weight member. The front-face body is formed from a front-face body main body made of a crystalline metal, and a face plate which is fitted in an opening of the front-face body main body and fixedly attached thereto by means of caulking and which is made of an amorphous metal. The front-face body main body includes a face, a metal sole, a metal side portion (toe), a metal crown portion, a metal side portion (heel), and a hosel. A front edge of the sole plate and the metal sole are separated with a gap of about 4 to 12 mm therebetween, which forms the FRP body.

Golf club head

The present invention provides a golf clubhead having a head body comprising a face member fitted and secured over an aperture formed in the central area of the head body through the same, and a cavity surrounded by a sole, a toe, a heel and a top blade on a backface of the face member. Wherein the head body comprises a vertical rib extending from the top blade to the sole so as to divide said cavity into a plurality of sections and support the face member and the vertical rib has at the center thereof a means for fastening the face member, and the face member is fastened by the means to the vertical rib.

Iron golf club set

An enlarged golf club head has a front wall decreased in thickness, which is sufficient strength, easy to menufacture, and has no increase in total weight. It is a wood or iron golf club head with a plate wall made of a metal, a front side of which provides a front wall having a ball striking front face and a back face at the opposite side thereof, the back face having a plurality of ridges projecting rearwardly of the back face. The ridges extend vertically, horizontally or in both directions of the club head and are disposed at a back of at least a sweet spot of the front face.

A golf club head has a gravity depth of 27 mm or greater and a convexed face with bulge and roll radii each equal to 9 inches or less. In an embodiment, a club head has a gravity depth of 27 mm, a bulge radius in the range of 6 to 8 inches and a roll radius of 7 to 9 inches. In another embodiment, a club head has a gravity depth of 30 to 35 mm, a bulge radius in the range of 6 to 8 inches and a roll radius of 7 to 9 inches.

A golf club head of which the face height is larger than the sole width, a so-called 'iron' club, having at least the striking face made of a copper or copper alloy or plated with a copper.

The present invention provides a golf club head made of at least a first and second head components formed integrally with each other. A metallic material of the first head component is different in kind from that of the second head component. At an anti-disjoining device such as a projection, concavity or the like is formed, as a part of the head, on all or a part of an end face of the first head component, which is to join the second head component. Further a metallic material having a melting point 200.degree. C. or more below that of the metallic material of the first head component is cast to the first head component to integrally join the end faces of the first and second head components, thereby forming the second head component.
