Tanks of a first heat exchanger have plane sections perpendicular to bottoms having a plurality of tube insertion holes formed therein. Tanks of a second heat exchanger with circular cross sections have bottoms having a plurality of tube insertion holes formed therein. The axes of the tube insertion holes of the first and second heat exchangers are held in parallel with each other. The second heat exchanger is in contact with the plane sections of the first heat exchanger tank.

Integral-type heat exchanger

Reinforcement holes and tube holes are formed so as to be of the same size, and the interval between the reinforcement hole and the tube hole adjacent to the reinforcement hole is made equal to the interval between the adjacent tube holes.

Heat exchanger core, and method of assembling the heat exchanger core

A method of manufacturing a heat exchanger includes processes of: arranging tubes at a predetermined pitch on a set base; inserting fins into spaces each defined between the tubes; compressing the tubes and the fins in the direction of arrangement thereof; mounting hollow headers to longitudinal ends of the tubes, each header having slits engaged with a corresponding end of the tubes; and attaching end covers to both ends of the headers, each cover closing holes which open at the corresponding end of the headers.

Method of manufacturing heat exchanger

In a fin forming step, fins of heat exchangers are formed into a connected state where the fins are connected to each other via a parting portion. In a fin attaching step, the fins in the connected state are temporarily attached to the respective heat exchangers. In a fin fixing step, an integrated heat exchanger in which the fins are temporarily attached is passed through a heating oven to braze the fins to the respective heat exchangers. In a fin separating step W, the fins in the connected state of the respective heat exchangers are separated from each other in the parting portion. Therefore, each of the heat exchangers can independently perform a heat exchanging operation without being affected by heat conduction from the other heat exchanger via the fins.

Method for producing an integrated heat exchanger and an integrated heat exchanger produced thereby

A temporary fixing structure includes recesses formed with a mounting hole of a first tubular body to face each other wherein the diameter of the mounting hole extending along the recesses is smaller than that of a flange, and protrusions arranged at the head of an end portion of a second tubular body wherein a spacing between the protrusion and the flange is substantially equal to the thickness of a mounting surface of the first tubular body and wherein the protrusions are arranged inside the fist tubular body through the recesses. The second tubular body is turned with respect to the first tubular body to bring a flat portion of the flange into close contact with the mounting surface of the first tubular body.

Temporary fixing structure for tubular bodies

A tank of a condenser for an air conditioning system of an automotive vehicle. The tank comprises a cylindrical hollow tank main body which is formed with an arcuate cutout formed through a wall of the tank main body. A partition plate includes generally semicircular large and small diameter sections which are integral with each other to be formed into a generally disc-shape. Two projections are radially outwardly protrude respectively from opposite end portions of the generally semicircular large diameter section. During production of the tank, the partition plate is temporarily fixed to the tank main body by riveting the two projections in a state in which the partition plate has been inserted through the cutout of the tank main body, and the partition plate is brazed to the tank main body in a state in which the plate has been temporarily fixed.

Tank of heat exchanger and method of producing same

A tank of heat exchanger comprises a tank body and a metal member. The metal member is at least one of a pipe member, a header plate member, an end plate and a filler neck member. The tank body is made of a metal and shaped like a channel member including a base wall and opposed side walls between when the base wall extends. The metal member is hermetically secured to a given portion of the tank body by partially welding the metal member to the given portion and then brazing the metal member to the given portion.
