A mold clamping device includes a base, a stationary platen fixed to the base and supporting a stationary mold, a movable platen movable on the base and supporting a movable mold, and a mold clamping mechanism for clamping the movable mold against the stationary mold. Tie bars extend from the stationary platen completely through both the movable platen and the mold clamping mechanism. A shaft supporting plate is fixed to the base and has openings through which the tie bars slidably extend for supporting the tie bars. The shaft supporting plate terminates at its lower end portion in two spaced-apart shoes that are fixed to the base. The bottom surface of each shoe has a larger area than the cross-sectional area of the shaft supporting plate situated vertically above the shoe.

Mold clamping device

A mold clamping device includes a base, a stationary platen fixed to the base and supporting a stationary mold, a movable platen movable on the base and supporting a movable mold, and a mold clamping mechanism for clamping the movable mold against the stationary mold. Tie bars extend from the stationary platen completely through both the movable platen and the mold clamping mechanism. A shaft supporting plate is fixed to the ends of the tie bars and terminates at its lower end portion in two spaced-apart shoes that have flat bottom surfaces in direct sliding contact with the base. The flat bottom surface of each shoe has a larger area than the cross-sectional area of the shaft supporting plate situated vertically above the shoe.

A mold clamping apparatus of the type including a mold opening/closing actuator and a mold clamping cylinder, wherein rails for guiding a movable platen are disposed on a base, and the mold clamping cylinder has a left leg and a right leg each disposed between one pair of left and right rails of the rails. The rails provided for guiding the movable platen is used also as a side guide for the mold clamping cylinder. This arrangement can obviate the need for a separate guide member.

Mold clamping apparatus

An injection molding apparatus has at least two mold clamping mechanisms for clamping respective molds. A hydraulic pressure supply source supplies hydraulic pressure to the at least two mold clamping mechanisms to clamp the respective molds. A a hydraulic-pressure-supply-destination selection section is configured to allow hydraulic pressure from the hydraulic pressure supply source to be selectively supplied to any one of the two mold clamping mechanisms. At least two injecting machines are configured to inject resin material to the respective molds clamped by the respective two mold clamping mechanisms. A non-hydraulic power supply source drives the at least two injecting machines to inject the resin material.

Injection molding apparatus

A screw shaft for driving an injection screw driving body in a motor-driven injection device is coupled to a motor shaft of an electric motor in engagement of splines. A spline for the motor shaft engaging with a spline disposed at the outer periphery at a shaft end of the screw shaft is fitted into a recess formed inside of a motor shaft end. A flange formed around the spline is clamped at end face of the motor shaft via a bolt, and is formed at the inner periphery of a bearing sleeve detachably mounted to the motor shaft. An annular groove is formed at the inner periphery of an opening of the bearing sleeve for the side of the screw shaft. A ring member for air-tightly sealing a clearance formed between the screw shaft and the bearing sleeve is fitted into the annular groove. The spline for the motor shaft engaging with the spline on the screw shaft is disposed at the inner periphery of the bearing sleeve independent of the motor shaft, thus achieving the coupling via the respective splines of the motors.

Coupling structure between injection driving screw shaft and electric motor in injection device

The object of the present invention is to provide a traction type electric injection molding machine requiring only one electric motor for mold clamping and only one rotational transformer, with a mold clamping apparatus installed on the top of a bed and between the front and rear ends of the bed, and with an injection apparatus installed between them. A fixed platen and a supporting platen are mounted oppositely on a bed and connected by tie bars backward and forward. Traction rods insert through the platens and , from which their ends protrude. The tip ends of the traction rods carry a movable platen , which can be moved toward and away from the fixed platen . The rear ends of the traction rods carry a traction plate . A mold clamping apparatus includes a motion transformer , which includes a screw shaft and a nut . The screw shaft fixed to the traction plate . The nut is supported rotatably on the inside of the supporting platen and fitted with a pulley . A screw preplasticating injection apparatus is supported over the bed between the fixed and supporting platens and slidably on the tie bars inserting through it.

Traction type electric injection molding machine

A mold clamping apparatus of an injection molding machine is equipped with a drive mechanism for opening, closing, and clamping a mold. The drive mechanism includes a first drive mechanism portion including a first drive motor portion and a first ball-screw mechanism portion and advancing and retracting a movable platen in order to effect high-speed mold opening/closing operation; a second drive mechanism portion including a second drive motor portion and a second ball-screw mechanism portion and pressing a pressure platen in order to effect high-pressure mold clamping operation; and a clutch mechanism for connecting the pressure platen to the movable platen in a pressure applicable manner when the movable platen is located at a mold close position. The first drive mechanism portion advances and retracts the movable platen in order to effect high-speed mold opening/closing operation. When the movable platen has reached the mold close position (when the mold has been closed), the clutch mechanism connects the pressure platen to the movable platen. Subsequently, the second drive mechanism portion advances the pressure platen in order to apply pressure to the movable platen via the clutch mechanism, thereby effecting high-pressure mold clamping.

Mold clamping apparatus of injection molding machine

A mold clamping apparatus of an injection molding machine includes a drive mechanism. The drive mechanism includes a first drive mechanism for opening/closing a mold at high speed through advancement/retreat of a movable platen effected by means of a first drive motor unit and a first ball screw mechanism; a second drive mechanism for clamping the mold at high pressure through application of pressure to a pressing member effected by means of a second drive motor unit and a second ball screw mechanism; an engagement mechanism for engaging the movable platen with the pressing member in the course of advancement of the movable platen; and a clutch mechanism which is operated after establishment of the engagement effected by the engagement mechanism, in order to interlock the pressing member with the movable platen to thereby enable the pressing member to apply pressure to the movable platen.

A mold-thickness adjustment mechanism is provided which uses intermediate toothed wheels engaging with a pair of toothed wheels on a tie-bar side. The mechanism includes a toothed wheel on an outer surface of a pressure-receiving plate and toothed wheels with a large diameter for mold-thickness adjustment provided together with a toothed wheel-driving motor on the side of the pressure-receiving plate on the central portion of an outer surface of the pressure-receiving plate. Intermediate toothed wheels are arranged between the toothed wheels with the large diameter and a pair of toothed wheels of one side of the pressure-receiving plate to engage each other. A pair of the toothed wheels is designed to rotate by rotation of the intermediate toothed wheels at the same time, whereby a diameter of the toothed wheel with the large diameter is constituted approximately equally to the breadth of the plate body of the pressure-receiving plate.
