A working machine having a belt-type continuously variable transmission in a working power transmission system includes a target working speed setting section for optionally setting a target working rotational speed of a working unit, a working unit speed sensor that detects an actual working rotational speed of the working unit, a speed reduction ratio regulation mechanism that regulates a minimum speed reduction ratio of a rotational speed of a driven pulley with respect to a drive pulley, and a control unit. The control unit controls a drive source rotational speed to bring the actual working rotational speed close to the target working rotational speed, obtains a minimum limit speed reduction ratio based upon a target minimum rotational speed of a drive source and the target working rotational speed, and controls the speed reduction ratio regulation mechanism to keep the minimum limit speed reduction ratio.

In a monitoring system for a power wheelchair (low-speed mobility vehicle) and having a remote monitoring device connected to the wheelchair through a communicator, it is determined whether the wheelchair strands based on detected acceleration, and when it does, a vehicle-stranded signal that the vehicle strands is transmitted to the remote monitoring device through the communicator and predesignated information addressees including a dealer, a data terminal owned by the operator's family and emergency assistance providers such as the police or hospital are informed in response to the signal that the vehicle is stranded, thereby enabling to respond rapidly and appropriately when the wheelchair becomes stranded.

Monitoring system for vehicle

An electric vehicle has traveling units, first and second electric motors for driving the respective traveling units, a speed adjusting lever for adjusting a speed of the traveling units, a speed adjustment mechanism for generating a speed adjusting signal in response to operation of the speed adjusting lever, and a control unit for controlling rotation of the first and second electric motors in accordance with the speed adjusting signal generated by the speed adjustment mechanism. The speed adjusting lever has spot-turn switches operable to cause the respective electric motors to rotate in a reverse direction and simultaneously cause the electric motors to rotate in a forward direction, a rotational-angle restriction mechanism that restricts a rotational angle of a rotational operating member, and an automatic return mechanism that automatically returns the rotational operating member to a neutral position upon removal of an operating force having turned the rotational operating member in a first direction or in a second direction from the neutral position.

The generator G is directly connected to the motorand there is no battery that stores the output of the generator G. CPUdecreases the power supply for the motorwhen it has been anticipated that the engine revolutions will be decreased. The number of the engine revolutions is detected according to the period of the waveform of an output of the generator G. The alternating current waveform that has been drawn out from one phase of the winding of the generator G is shaped into a rectangular waveform. CPUdetects the period of the shaped waveform. When the detected period has become larger, the CPUdetermines that the engine revolutions is about to decrease.

Hybrid type working machine

An electric vehicle driven by at least one electric motor is provided. The vehicle includes a controller for controlling the electric motor and at least one braking device. The controller gradually reduces the rotational speed of the electric motor in accordance with a vehicle drive stop instruction, and operates the braking device when the rotational speed of the electric motor is equal to or lower than a predetermined rotational speed to stop the travel of the vehicle.

A dual-motor electric vehicle having a control section that determines whether three conditions are satisfied, (1) that a straight-ahead travel instruction has been supplied to the vehicle, (2) that an actual number of motor rotations of an electric motor is less than a target number of motor rotations, and (3) that a motor control signal for bringing the actual number of motor rotations closer to the target number has reached a predetermined upper limit output value. When all conditions are satisfied for at least one of the electric motors of the dual-motor vehicle, the control section performs a downward motor-rotation correction process for at least one of motors by incrementally reducing one of the target number of motor rotations and the upper limit output value of the motor control signal until the respective actual numbers of rotations of the left and right motors substantially coincide with each other.

Control section determines necessary acceleration of a transporting section in accordance with an actual transporting speed, and also determines a correction coefficient corresponding to the number of rotations of an engine from among correction coefficients having a characteristic of becoming closer to a value of one as the number of rotations of the engine increases. The control section multiplies the necessary acceleration by the correction coefficient to thereby provide corrected necessary acceleration, and controls rotation of a transporting drive motor in accordance with the corrected necessary acceleration. When the amount of electric power to be generated by a power generator driven by the engine has increased, the control section controls the opening of a throttle valve.

An electric vehicle has left and right speed control levers provided alongside left and right grips provided at the ends of left and right control handles. The electric vehicle also has left and right electric motors for driving left and right driven wheels and left and right brakes for braking the left and right driven wheels. The left brake and the speed of the left electric motor are controlled with the left speed control lever, the right brake and the speed of the right electric motor are controlled with the right speed control lever, and a driver can execute changes of direction and pivot turns and spot turns while holding the vehicle in a good attitude.

Electric vehicle and transit control method thereof

In a small electric motor vehicle equipped with an electric motor for driving wheels through a reduction gear mechanism, a first predetermined voltage is immediately applied to the electric motor when a drive-off instruction is generated from vehicle standstill and then the voltage is increased at a predetermined rate until the voltage exceeds a second predetermined voltage, and is then controlled such that the driving speed converges to a desired speed. With this, since the application of the first predetermined voltage slightly rotates the electric motor to take up reduction gear mechanism backlash, shock at drive-off caused by reduction gear mechanism backlash can be reduced or eliminated even when a high-capacity electric motor is used to enhance hill-climbing performance, and smooth drive-off is possible. Furthermore, since the rate of increase/decrease of the driving speed is varied in proportion to the difference between a set speed and a calculated command speed, the driving feel is therefore improved.

Control system for small electric motor vehicle

A motor-assisted single-wheel cart is provided with a motor for generating an assisting power in response to an operation force when operating an operation handle by a human hand, and a power transmission mechanism for transmitting an output of the motor to an axle. The motor is arranged rearwardly upwardly of the axle so as to be positioned within a space surrounded by an upper horizontal member and a lower member positioned below the upper horizontal member constituting a vehicle body frame constituting the cart as viewing the vehicle body frame from a side surface thereof. The power transmission mechanism has a first speed reduction mechanism arranged near the motor, a second speed reduction mechanism arranged near the wheel and a transmission shaft for connecting them. The transmission shaft is inserted to the first and second speed reduction mechanisms so as to be capable of being drawn out.

Motor-assisted single-wheel cart

A motor with a gear reducer includes a housing, a stator secured to the housing and having an inner periphery thereof defining a central space therein, and a rotor formed of a magnet material and rotatably fitted in the central space of the stator. The rotor has an axial through hole formed therein in coaxial relation to an axis of rotation of the rotor. An output shaft is connected through a gear reducer to the rotor to be rotatively driven thereby, for outputting a rotating output from the rotor through the gear reducer. The output shaft extends through the axial through hole of the rotor and is rotatably supported by opposite ends of the housing. The rotor has a gear forming part of the gear reducer formed thereon at one end thereof, and a hook formed thereon at another end thereof and engageable with a moving device such as an assembly jig in an axial direction of the output shaft.
