A rotor, a motor, an air-conditioning apparatus, and a method for manufacturing a rotor are provided with high productivity and reliability and with structural stability. The rotor includes a shaft, an inner core into which the shaft is inserted, an outer core provided on a radially outer side of the inner core and composed of a plurality of divided cores formed by stacking a plurality of thin plate materials and connected in an annular shape, and a coupling member made of resin, coupling the inner core and the outer core together, and covering both end faces of the outer core in an axial direction of the shaft. The outer core has radially outer parts of the divided cores brought into close contact with each other.

A motor rotor includes: a shaft; a smaller-radius iron core fixedly attached to an outer peripheral surface of the shaft; a larger-radius iron core disposed spaced apart from the smaller-radius iron core in a radial direction perpendicular to an axis of the shaft, which is formed in a ring shape in cross section by a combination of a plurality of iron core blocks, and disposed to share a common axis with the smaller-radius iron core; and an insulating resin portion used to fix the smaller-radius iron core and the larger-radius iron core. The larger-radius iron core and the smaller-radius iron core are formed of their respective different materials. The material forming the larger-radius iron core has an iron loss less than an iron loss of the material forming the smaller-radius iron core.

The body outer shell and the bracket are fastened together using the first body legs and the first bracket legs via fixing members. The body outer shell, the bracket, and a support member are fastened together using the second body legs and the second bracket legs via fixing members in a state where the bracket is disposed between the body outer shell and the support member, and the motor and the support member are fixed together.
