A shift device including: a shift body that, when operated, is configured to change a shift position; a first switch that, when operated, is configured to control a drivetrain system of a vehicle; and a second switch that, when operated, is configured to control a non-drivetrain system of a vehicle, the second switch having a different operating aspect from the first switch.

A shift device including: a shift switch that, when operated, is configured to change a shift range of a transmission of a vehicle; and a tact switch that is provided in the shift switch and is operated as a result of the shift switch being operated.

In a shift device, contact projections of a rotation cylinder make contact with side faces of recesses of an detent plate due to an urging force so as to urge a lever toward a shift position side. The contact projections make line contact with the side faces of the recesses. This enables the contact amount between the contact projections and the side faces of the recesses to be increased, enabling the contact pressure between the contact projections and the side faces of the recesses to be lowered.

A shift device includes: a shift body that is operated so as to be rotated and to change a shift position; and a restriction member provided with a restriction portion, the restriction portion projecting in a rotation axial direction of the shift body, and the restriction member being moved in the rotation axial direction of the shift body so as to restrict rotation of the shift body at the restriction portion.

In a shift device, when a first rotor cam is rotated in a reverse direction, recessed portions in the first rotor cam are engaged with protruding portions on a second rotor cam, and after a lever is moved rotationally, an engagement between the recessed portions and the protruding portions is released. So, when the first rotor cam is rotated in the reverse direction, not only can the recessed portions and the protruding portions be engaged with each other, but also the engagement between the recessed portions and the protruding portions can also be released.

A shift lever device has a shift lever that is moved and whose shift position is changed, and a detent plate that is displaced due to the shift lever being moved. The shift lever device has a first lock bar and a second lock bar that can move toward the detent plate side or a side opposite from the detent plate, and, due to the first lock bar and the second lock bar engaging with portions of the detent plate, a range over which the detent plate is displaced is restricted, and a range of movement of the shift lever is restricted. The shift lever device has a cam that has a single engaged-with portion with which the first lock bar and the second lock bar engage, and, due to the cam being displaced, the first lock bar and the second lock bar are moved.

A shift device includes: a shift mechanism that is provided with a shift body that is movable to change a shift position; at least one rotation section that is provided at the shift mechanism and that is rotated about a center axis line of the rotation section; at least one moving section that is provided at the shift mechanism and that is moved; and a detection body that detects a rotation position of the rotation section and detects a movement position of the moving section.

A shift device including: a shift body that is rotatable to change a shift position; an installation body, relative to which the shift body rotates; a contact portion that is provided to one of the shift body or the installation body; a contact member that is provided to the other of the shift body or the installation body, and that makes contact with the contact portion such that a force acts to rotate the shift body from between shift positions toward a shift position side; a rotation portion that causes the shift body to rotate such that a shift position of the shift body is changed; and a release mechanism that releases contact of the contact member with the contact portion when the rotation portion causes the shift body to rotate.

In a shift device, a shift locking mechanism drives a motor to perform locking and locking release of rotation of a knob, and an autocorrect mechanism drives the motor to change a shift position of the knob to a P position. Thus, driving of the common motor enables locking and locking release of the rotation of the knob to be performed, and enables a shift position of the knob to be changed to the P position, thereby enabling a simple configuration.

A shift device includes a knob that is rotatable about an axis and movable when pushed in the axial direction. An alternating action generation unit switches the knob, whenever the knob is pushed, between a base position and a hold position, which is separated from the base position in the axial direction. A base position return unit returns the knob to the base position when the knob has been rotated from the base position. A push restriction unit restricts pushing of the knob that has been rotated from the base position. A rotation restriction unit restricts rotation of the knob that is located at the hold position.

A shift device includes a knob rotated to select a mode of a vehicle transmission. A rotary detent member is rotated to a rotation position corresponding to the selected transmission mode. The rotary detent member is coaxial with the knob. A connecting member connects the knob and the rotary detent member when located at the first position. The connecting member is disconnected from the knob when located at the second position. A motor rotates the connecting member and the rotary detent member. During a normal operation in which a certain condition is unsatisfied, a control circuit controls the motor to hold the connecting member at the first position. When the certain condition is satisfied, the control circuit controls the motor to move the connecting member to the second position and move the rotary detent member to a rotation position corresponding to a parking mode.
