A fuel supply device has a cover member which is attached to an opening of a fuel tank, a pump unit comprising a pump, and a connecting portion configured to connect the cover member and the pump unit. A connecting shaft which is formed to one of the two connected members of the connecting portion is inserted into a connecting hole which is formed to the other of the two such that the pump unit is connected to be relatively movable to the connecting portion. The pump unit includes an upper base on which the pump is placed, and a lower base which contacts to the fuel tank. The upper base and the lower base are coupled through attachments whereby an engagement portion of the upper base is fitted into a recessed portion formed on the side of the lower base. The recessed portion has a pair of planes opposing to each other and oriented toward a bottom surface of the lower base from a predetermined position. The recessed portion is further configured such that an interval between a pair of the planes is gradually increased toward the bottom surface.

Fuel supply devices

A mounting structure for mounting a PCV valve includes a mount recess formed in at least one of joint surfaces of a cylinder head and an intake manifold, so that at least a part of the PCV valve can be fitted into the mount recess.

Fixing structures for intake manifolds

An intake manifold capable of being connected with a throttle valve apparatus includes a conducting pipe defining an air intake pathway therein, a surge tank for receiving air flowing from the throttle valve apparatus through the air intake pathway, and a noise prevention net placed within a half of a cross section of the air intake pathway. The noise prevention net has a net portion for reducing noise volume and defines at least one opening outside of the net portion in a radial direction in the cross section of the air intake pathway such that the opening is positioned along or near an inner wall of the conducting pipe.

Intake manifold for preventing flow noise

An intake manifold includes a surge tank chamber, a plurality of branch passages and a gas tank chamber capable of introducing a gas and distributing the gas into the plurality of branch passages. The gas is to be refluxed to an engine.

Intake manifolds

A resin intake manifold is provided with two separated bodies manufactured by connecting protrusions of weld portions of the separated bodies to each other in accordance with a vibration welding, and a cover wall in which one of the weld portions is arranged in an inner side or an outer side of the protrusion with leaving space with the protrusion. The protrusions of the weld portions are respectively provided with parallel protrusion portions extending in parallel to a vibrating direction of the vibration welding, and a cover wall arranged at a position in an orthogonal direction to the vibrating direction in the parallel protrusion portions is provided with an extension portion extending to the separated body in the other side welded to the separated body provided with the cover wall, in such a manner as to prevent a burr generated at a time of welding the parallel protrusion portion from getting over the cover wall arranged at the position in the orthogonal to the vibrating direction in the parallel protrusion portion. A recess groove receiving the extension portion is arranged in a side of the other side separated body.

Resin intake manifold

A resin intake manifold is provided with a surge tank, an independent intake passage connected to the surge tank, and a plurality of pieces formed in a predetermined shape and welded along a weld line. A funnel portion is formed in a portion connected from the surge tank to the independent intake passage, and the weld line is formed so as to cross over a portion near the funnel portion. A funnel partition wall separating a plurality of independent intake passages is formed in the funnel portion so as to protrude from one piece to another piece. A funnel wall receiving portion receiving the funnel partition wall is formed in another piece, and the funnel partition wall and the funnel wall receiving portion are welded in bonded surfaces.

A resin molded component includes a flange having a through-hole. A concave portion is formed on the surface of the flange that faces the component on which the flange is fitted. Flows of a molten resin material meet each other at a meeting portion in a region around the through-hole during a molding process, and a weld line is formed at the meeting portion. The concave portion is formed upstream of the meeting portion at which the flows of the molten resin material meet each other, and in the vicinity of the through-hole. The thickness of the resin material in the bottom portion of the concave portion is greater than the thickness of the resin material in the thinnest portion of the wall of the concave portion.

Resin molded component

A resin intake manifold is provided with an integrally formed base member. The base member has a U-shaped curved distribution passage lower surface wall portion, an engine mounting flange portion formed in one end of the distribution passage lower surface wall portion, and a surge tank peripheral wall portion formed in another end and a lower surface side of the distribution passage lower surface wall portion. A resonator peripheral wall portion is integrally formed in a dead space in a lower surface side of the distribution passage lower surface wall portion and between the surge tank peripheral wall portion and the engine mounting flange portion. In accordance with the structure in which the wall itself constituting the resonator is formed by the structure member, it is possible to structure the resonator without enlarging a size of the intake manifold and without lowering the strength.

An exhaust gas recirculation system for an internal combustion engine in which at least one metal plate is interposed between a cylinder head and an intake manifold, and an EGR gas passage is formed in the plate, wherein the EGR gas passage is formed in its lowest portion with an EGR gas outlet port communicated with an intake passage formed in the plate, so as to prevent condensed water from steam in the EGR gas from collecting within the EGR gas passage, thereby preventing corrosion of the plate.

Exhaust gas recirculation system for internal combustion engine

An intake manifold includes a manifold body and a joint. The joint is made of metal and includes an upstream-side portion and a downstream-side portion that are joined to each other. The upstream-side portion is joined to a manifold body on the upstream-side of the manifold body. The downstream-side portion is joined to the manifold on the downstream-side of the manifold.
