A battery apparatus may include: one or more battery cells; a fire-extinguishing agent, which includes a component, chemical or composition that has a combustion inhibiting or suppressing effect; a flame-resistant member having a limiting oxygen index that is higher than the oxygen concentration in the atmosphere; and a casing, which is made of a polymer and houses the battery cell(s), the fire-extinguishing agent, and the flame-resistant member. The fire-extinguishing agent may be interposed between the battery cell(s) and the casing. The flame-resistant member may be interposed between the fire-extinguishing agent and the casing.

Battery apparatus

A communication adapter attachment device in one aspect of the present disclosure is provided in a working machine, and includes an adapter housing portion, a cap, and a cap-side interface. The cap-side interface is configured to enable viewing of the adapter-side interface and/or an input operation to the adapter-side interface from outside of the working machine, in a state in which the communication adapter is accommodated in the adapter housing portion and the opening is closed with the cap.

A battery pack disclosed in the present description includes an outer case including a display portion and an opening portion, wherein the display portion includes one or more display windows; a battery cell housed in the outer case; a substrate housed in the outer case, wherein one or more light emitting elements corresponding to the one or more display windows are mounted on the substrate; and a light shielding wall housed in the outer case, wherein the light shielding wall is arranged to block the opening portion and the one or more light emitting elements from each other.

Battery pack

A battery pack () is configured to couple to a power tool () by sliding in a sliding direction and it contains a plurality of cells (). A pair of battery-side, electric-power terminals () and a battery-side signal terminal () can be electrically connected to a pair of tool-side, power-supply terminals () and a tool-side signal terminal (), respectively, which are provided on the power tool (). The pair of battery-side, electric-power terminals () and the battery-side signal terminal () are disposed in parallel adjacently in a direction that intersects the sliding direction.

An electric tool battery is detachably attached to a battery attachment apparatus. The battery attachment apparatus has a case as an exterior portion thereof, including a lock hole establishing communication between the exterior and interior of the case to allow an external lock member to be locked. Further, the battery attachment apparatus has a cover member closing the opening of the lock hole from within the case, and a mounting portion to which the cover member is mounted and which is set on an inner surface of the case.

Battery attachment apparatuses

An information setting apparatus in one aspect of the present disclosure comprises a clock information device, an information receiving device, a permission time calculating device, and an information setting device. The permission time calculating device calculates an operation permission time based on current time information stored in the clock information device and on start time information received by the information receiving device. The information setting device sets operation limitation information, including the operation permission time to at least one of a battery pack or an electrically-driven working machine.

A battery pack may include a drainage device provided at a bottom portion of the housing case. The drainage device may include a drain hole communicating between the inside and the outside of the housing case, so that water introduced into the housing case is discharged to the outside of the housing case. The drainage device may be disposed between two of the terminal members that are connected to electrodes of the battery cells.

An insulation rib is provided above a charging circuit and a plurality of heat radiation ribs are provided on the left side of the charging circuit. A space part is formed by the insulation rib. Little of the heat generated by the charging circuit is transferred to an upper sidewall portion of a case main body portion due to a heat insulation effect of the space part. Further, heat generated by the charging circuit is likely to be transferred to a left sidewall portion of the case main body portion due to a high heat dissipation effect of the heat radiation ribs. In this way, the generation of locally heated areas in the case main body portion can be reduced through balancing of the flow of heat generated by the charging circuit.

A battery housing of a tool battery has a hook accommodation chamber and a battery cell accommodation chamber defined therein. A hook is accommodated within the hook accommodation chamber and is operable to lock and unlock the tool battery against a tool body of a power tool. Battery cells are disposed within the battery cell accommodation chamber. The hook accommodation chamber and the battery cell accommodation chamber are partitioned from each other.

Tool batteries

A female and male connecting structure is provided between a battery pack and a tool main body such that the battery is slidably attached and electrically connected to the tool main body. The female and male connecting structure includes male terminals provided on the tool main body and female terminals provided on the battery pack. A level difference is formed by a concave portion on a sliding surface of terminal portions of the male terminal in a thickness direction of the plate-shaped male terminal. The level difference is made at a plurality of positions to form concavo-convex portions. The sliding surface corresponds to an area with which a contact point of the female terminal comes into sliding contact, and oxidized films formed on the surfaces of the terminal portions can be removed and/or scraped by the concavo-convex portions.
