The present disclosure relates to a still image generating apparatus that generates still image data from moving image data that generates a moving image, and includes a recorder and a control unit. The recorder is configured to record the still image data. When a specific frame image is selected from a plurality of frame images included in the moving image, the control unit sets a specific frame image group including the specific frame image and other frame images having a reference relationship with the specific frame image. The control unit generates the still image data corresponding to each of the plurality of frame images included in the specific frame image group by decoding the moving image data. The control unit causes the recorder to record the generated still image data. The control unit generates frame image data that generates at least one of the plurality of frame images included in the specific frame image group based on the still image data recorded by the recorder.

An electronic device comprises a plurality of memory components, a connector, a receiver, and a communication component. The connector is configured to operatively connect the electronic device to an external device. The external device is capable of individually recognizing the memory components one at a time or simultaneously recognizing only a few of the memory components. The receiver is configured to receive a select instruction that specifies which of the memory components will be recognized by the external device. The communication component is configured to automatically communicate with the external device to permit the external device to automatically recognize at least one of the memory components as a predefined memory component. The communication component is further configured to communicate with the external device when the receiver receives the select instruction to permit the external device to recognize at least one memory components according to the select instruction.

An electronic device is connected to a communication network, to which a server and an external device are connected. The electronic device includes an interface which receives an instruction from a user; a processor which determines information to be transmitted and a destination of the transmission based on the user's instruction; and a communication module which transmits the information to the destination. In the case where a content file is selected via the interface, when the selected content file has not been uploaded on the server, the communication module transmits the content file to the server, and after the transmission, transmits location information indicating a location where the content file is stored in the communication network to the external device. When the selected content file has been uploaded on the server, the communication module transmits the location information indicating the location where the content file is stored to the external device.
