When a presentation is performed using a web browser, in a manual mode, the display sequence of web pages registered in a bookmark list is specified using an operation button, and in an automatic mode, a plurality of pages registered in a bookmark list are automatically displayed in a predetermined sequence. Further, background music and a narration are also automatically played back.

An image display bookmark system is disclosed. The image display bookmark system comprises a bookmark processing unit and a data storing unit. The bookmark processing unit is disposed in a processing unit. The bookmark processing unit in the processing unit registers a reduced image of a page corresponding to a bookmark for each user of a WWW browser. When a user selects a reduced image that has been registered, the page is displayed on a GUI screen of the WWW browser. The system administrator can designate authority to register, change, and delete bookmarks to each user. An automatic traveling unit automatically travels pages corresponding to images that have been registered, updates the reduced images, titles, or URLs of the pages, and maintains the bookmarks as the latest information.

A system capable of suppressing the variation of a conveyance speed of a medium occurring when the rear end of the medium gets away from between a pair of rollers to surely and stably conduct the processing (transfer of a visible image) for the medium in a processing section (a transfer position). Accordingly, this system includes a position detecting section for detecting a position of the medium conveyed, and a control section for, when the position detecting section detects the fact that the rear end of the medium exists at a position immediately before getting away from between resist rollers, executing control so that a medium conveyance speed by the resist rollers becomes equal or substantially equal to a medium conveyance speed by conveyance rollers. This system is applicable to printers including an electrophotographic system.

Conveyance speed control for medium conveyance apparatus

A unit which detects a discharged condition of each of media with a simple and low-cost structure. For this purpose, this unit is designed to output a signal indicative of the passage of the medium, a signal indicative of a full accumulated condition of the media within the medium discharged section and a signal representative of the occurrence of a jam condition of the medium during the passage of the medium. The present invention relates to a method and device each for controlling the temperature of a thermal fixing machine where a toner image is fixed on a recording medium in a printer, a facsimile apparatus, or a copying machine using electrophotograpic technique. The object is to control the temperature, of a thermal fixing machine with high accuracy by increasing substantially a resolution of an A/D converter without increasing a device manufacturing cost, and reducing an effect on a temperature detection value due to noises. The system includes temperature detecting device for detecting the temperature of a thermal fixing machine as a digital value, sampling device for sampling plural temperature detection values detected with said temperature detecting device, and control device for subjecting a heater to an on/off control based on plural temperature detection values sampled by the sampling device.
