A document sheet length detection portion detects document sheets placed on a tray while distinguishing between a first size document sheet whose length in a conveyance direction is equal to or longer than a reference length, and a second size document sheet whose length in the conveyance direction is shorter than the reference length. A selection portion selects, as a specified conveyance process, one of a first conveyance process and a second conveyance process. A control portion, after a predetermined start event occurs, causes a conveyance device to execute the second conveyance process when the second conveyance process has been selected as the specified conveyance process and the document sheet length detection portion has detected the first size document sheet, and causes the conveyance device to execute the first conveyance process when a number of document sheets conveyed during the second conveyance process has reached an upper-limit number.

Image reading device

An information processing device performs processing on document image data. The document image data includes first image data of a plurality of images and second image data. The first image data undergoes character recognition processing. The second image data does not undergo character recognition processing. The information processing device includes a detecting section, an extracting section, and a processing section. The detecting section detects the first image data from the document image data. The extracting section extracts the first image data from the document image data. The processing section generates composite image data by compositing the images of the first image data and performs character recognition on the composite image data.

An information processing device performs processing on document image data including first image data to undergo character recognition processing and second image data not to undergo character recognition processing. The information processing device includes a detecting section which detects the first image data, an extracting section which extracts the first image data, and a processing section. The processing section includes a counting section which counts first images, a determining section which determines whether the number of the first images exceeds a threshold, a first performing section which performs first processing when the threshold is exceeded, and a second performing section which performs second processing when the threshold is not exceeded. Through the first processing, the second image is masked with a background color of the document image and character recognition is then performed on the document image. Through the second processing, character recognition is performed on the first images.

An image reading device includes storage, an image reading section, a receiving section, a display section, and a controller. The storage stores therein a plurality of barcode types and designation information items each associated with any of the barcode types. The image reading section acquires a read image by reading a document image including a barcode image. The receiving section receives input of a designation information item among the designation information items. The display section displays one or more barcode types among the barcode types. The controller controls the storage, the receiving section, and the display section. The barcode image exhibits a barcode belonging to any of the one or more barcode types. A clip region recognition section recognizes clip regions from a read image. An inclination detection section detects an inclination of each of the clip regions. When the clip regions exist in number between P and Q, inclusive, a first processing control section executes a first clip processing. When the number is under P and over Q, a second processing control section executes a second clip processing. In the first clip processing, processing that an inclination correction section rotates the image according to the inclination of one of the clip regions and that a clip processing section cuts out the clip region is performed on each clip region. In the second clip processing, a clip region selection section selects one of the clip regions, the inclination correction section rotates the image according to the inclination of the selected clip region, and the clip processing section cuts out all the clip regions.
