A signal discriminator which comprises a plurality of divided magnetic cores which surround a peripheral part of a cable when the plurality of divided magnetic cores are integrated. A resin case formed of a plurality of sections is capable of opening and closing and accommodates the plurality of divided magnetic cores. A press-contacting device press-contacts at least one of the plurality of divided magnetic cores and a corresponding one of the plurality of sections of the resin case. Engaging protrusions on the plurality of divided magnetic cores engage with corresponding recesses on the plurality of sections of the resin case.

An LC filter is provided which includes a first conductive sheet, a first dielectric sheet laminated on the first conductive sheet, a second conductive sheet laminated on the first dielectric sheet, a second dielectric sheet laminated on the second conductive sheet, a third conductive sheet laminated on the second dielectric sheet, and a third dielectric sheet laminated on a third conductive sheet formed as an integral body which has the first, the second and the third conductive sheets and the first, the second and the third dielectric sheets, are coiled. The first and the second conductive sheets are respectively provided with input terminals and output terminals.

An area measuring apparatus for measuring the surface area of an object by the use of a TV camera. The apparatus comprises a comparator which separates a component corresponding to the image of the object from the image signal obtained with the TV camera; a gate circuit which allows a clock signal to pass only while the image component is detected; and an arithmetic circuit which counts the pulses of the clock signal allowed to pass the gate circuit and corresponding to a single frame of the image signal and converts the pulse counts into an area.

Area measuring apparatus using television

A position control method for aligning a workpiece in a machining apparatus. An alignment pattern, such as a diamond, is provided on the surface of the workpiece. The alignment pattern and the surrounding region are sensed by an image pickup television camera, the output of which is converted to binary form. From the binary data, the central point of the pattern is calculated. The difference between this central point and a reference point is then determined, and the result used to control the position of the workpiece via a positioning mechanism.
