A cross flow fan blade includes an inner edge disposed on an inner circumferential side of a cross flow fan, an outer edge disposed on an outer circumferential side of the cross flow fan, and a base part formed between the inner edge and the outer edge. The base part has a pressure face and a negative pressure face. A thickness of the inner edge is larger than 1.5 times a thickness of the outer edge. An interval between the pressure face and the negative pressure face in a direction perpendicular to the pressure face is a thickness of the base part. A maximum thickness position of the base part is closer to the inner edge than to the outer edge. When a blade chord length is L and a maximum thickness of the base part is tmax, tmax/L&#x2264;0.094, and a range of tmax/L&#x2264;0.08 is excluded.

Cross flow fan blade, cross flow fan, and air conditioner indoor unit

Disclosed is a cross-flow fan including a fan rotor and a housing. The cross-flow fan has a blow-out path defined by first and second extension wall portions and two sidewalls. The first extension wall portion continuously extends from a tongue portion of the housing to the blow-out port. The second extension wall portion faces the first extension wall portion. The two sidewalls are respectively provided at axial ends of the fan rotor. The two sidewalls are formed such that the blow-out path has a narrowed portion whose cross-sectional area decreases as its cross-sectional shape changes from a rectangular shape to a trapezoidal shape from an upstream side toward a downstream side thereof, the trapezoidal shape having a portion near the second extension wall portion smaller in width than a portion near the first extension wall portion.

Cross-flow blower and indoor unit of air-conditioning device equipped with same

Disclosed is an indoor unit of an air conditioner including: a casing; a cross-flow fan arranged in the casing and having a fan rotor and a tongue portion extending in an axial direction along an outer periphery of the fan rotor below the fan rotor and forward of a center axis of the fan rotor to define a suction port, the cross-flow fan forming in the casing an air flow directed from the rear to the front; and a heat exchanger arranged upstream of the fan in a direction of the air flow and having an inclined portion inclined to be positioned further downward toward a front side. The heat exchanger is arranged such that a front end of the inclined portion is located below the fan rotor and between a foremost portion and center axis of the fan rotor in a front-to-back direction.

Indoor unit for air conditioning device

This indoor unit of an air conditioner includes an indoor unit main body having an inlet and an outlet; a heat exchanger; and a cross-flow fan configured to blow out air, which has undergone heat exchange by the heat exchanger. The cross-flow fan has a blow-out flow path that is configured such that a cross-sectional area gradually increases downward, with the blow-out flow path guiding blown-out air to the outlet. When a distance in the lower wall from an intersection, where a tangent inscribing a tongue of the cross-flow fan orthogonally intersects the lower wall, to a lower end of the indoor unit main body is referred to as distance L, a ratio (L/D) of the distance L to outer diameter D of an impeller of the cross-flow fan is less than 0.05. At least part of the blow-out flow path is formed to project out of the outlet at least when air conditioning operation is performed.

Indoor unit of air conditioner

A cross flow fan includes a support plate and an impeller with a plurality of blades disposed on the support plate at predetermined intervals. On each blade, a radius of a pressure surface arc is greater than a radius of a suction surface arc, a radius of an inner peripheral side arc is greater than a radius of an outer peripheral side arc, and a region of maximum thickness is located 40% to 60% from the inner peripheral side arc in the lengthwise direction. The blades are disposed such that the inner peripheral side arcs are positioned on an inner peripheral side of the support plate and the outer peripheral side arcs are positioned on an outer peripheral side of the support plate. A flow path width between the plurality of blades gradually decreases from the inner peripheral side toward the outer peripheral side of the support plate.

Cross flow fan

An air conditioning indoor unit includes a movable first air direction adjustment plate that changes an up and down direction of the outlet air, a second air direction adjustment plate disposed adjacent to the air outlet, and a control unit that controls postures of the first and second adjustment plates. The second adjustment plate has at least a front end portion housed in an indoor unit front portion outside a blowing path when housed. In a Coanda effect utilization mode the control unit controls the postures of the first and second adjustment plates such that the second adjustment plate is spaced apart from the indoor unit front portion and a height position of a rear end portion is lower than when operation is stopped, and the adjustment plates form a predetermined angle to change the outlet air to a Coanda air flow along an undersurface of the second adjustment plate.

Cross-flow fan and air conditioner equipped with same

In a multi-blade fan provided with a plurality of notches in a blade edge in an outer side of each impeller blade, it is possible to direct an impeller blade outlet in a portion of the notches to a circumferential direction. Also, it is possible to direct an air flow blown out of the fan to the circumferential direction. Further, it is possible to effectively increase a pressure, by setting a projection protruding along a thickness direction of the impeller blade in a rear portion of each notch, in a pressure surface of the impeller blade receiving air pressure on the basis of rotation of the multi-blade fan.

Multi-blade fan

An impeller is provided for a blower having a blade (), a plurality of notches () provided at predetermined intervals on a side edge of the blade (), and a plurality of smooth portions () each provided between a pair of the notches (). Since a transverse vortex discharged from the side edge of the blade (), and on a large scale, is organized by vertical vortexes formed in the notches () on a small scale so as to be segmented into stable transverse vortexes, it becomes possible to reduce aerodynamic noise.
